Sapien all the posts on this thread have a measure of emotions.

Including yours and mine.

By the way Occam's razor shaves both sides of this discussion.

The same demands that the non believer puts on the believer are the same demands that the believer is putting on the non believer and justly so.

You have not delivered any (evidence)" that absolutely" destroys the legitimacy of his claims, just as he has not done so for you.

So far all that I have read are probablities and doubts and questions.

No firm without a doubt from either side.

By the way I am not in favor of either side.

hey, my friends is a jehovah's witness, and his parents are strict about who he can and cannot see, we are very close, and i wish we could see more of each other!

i know we would be allowed to if i was his religion!

how could i convert and what would i have to do, and how long would it take?

You are GUILTY of a half truth when you state that "Those who become Jehovah's Witnesses can leave at any time".

Sure, they can leave. What you leave out, is what happens when they do.

You know that if one does leave, they will be accused of "no longer being one of Jehovah's Witnesses".

This will be announced to all the members in the congregation and they are to be treated as if they were disfellowshipped.

That means that everyone is to shun them "treat them as if they no longer exist" and this includes any member of the church, even those who are((( friends or relatives.)))

Straighten up guy, you claim to teach the "truth", try being truthful your self.

FMZ Can you PROVE BEYOND A DOUBT, that these experiences of yours are truly from deceased

relatives through a Psychic??

Can any of you non believers PROVE BEYOND A DOUBT that FMZ "s experiences are NOT from deceased relatives and a Psychic and that this this is a scam??

If not this leaves us with two possiblities.

He may be right or he may be wrong.

Nothing much proved here by all the emotional responses for and against on this thread.

i have read a number of experiences in this discussion forum and quite frankly, i would have to agree that many, if not all, were pretty terrible experiences if not all together traumatic.

i know that my personal 9-11 tragedy resulted in finding out that the watchtower society was involved with the united nations.

that pretty much said it all as far as my "career" in the organisation was concerned.

what proves jw's aren't true?

i am inactive and it took years of doubt to convince myself the jw's arent true.

i started doubting because i hated the idea that jehovah would kill 6 billion non-jw's.

the thing now that is the most important proof for me is that until 1954 jw's worshipped jesus and it is still in the watchtower charter, even though you now get disfellowshipped for worshipping jesus.

For me, when 1975 came and went and the sensless behaviour of the wbts and its hard line supporters showed the COMPLETE nonsense that this cult is based on.

All of it is self serving FOR AND BY THE WBTS. The members are nothing and are disposable.

The mid level ( elders co etc.) had no hopeful, helpful, answers. Their only tool was anger towards the doubters.

Then I learned that this is the same message the mid level were receiving from the headquaters.

At this point I lost all respect for the leaders on down to the door to door slaves.

From this point on, NOTHING had any real meaning or seemed even helpful within the organization.

Having family members still in, I had to conceal these feelings and sit on the fence and pretend or loose their affection .

Try that some time and you will see where the anger comes from.

carey barber, born july 4th 1905 has almost made his century.

fred franz came close at 99 years old, and he died around 1992.. so what does bro barr get for his 100th birthday?

Anyone who remains a director of a cult that causes death due to "their demands that we live by their decisions on blood transfusions" NO TRANSFUSIONS.

No organ transplants for a while.

Deaths due to a stupid refusal "as ordered by the cult directors" to not buy a simple political card.

While allowing the purchase of military cards in Mexico.

Destroys families and marriages due to excomunication and SHUNNING.

Deserves nothing, but revealing their true personality and hateful destructive actions.

IF PEOPLE CAUSED WHAT THEY CAUSE IN ANOTHER SETTING (non religious) THEY WOULD SEE PRISON TIME AND IN SOME CASES EXECUTION.

I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.

Ever have this happen to you??

i went to the post office this morning, to pickup the mail of course.

on the way out i encountered a jw.

he is a rather nice quiet kind of guy.

I went to the Post Office this morning, to pickup the mail of course.

On the way out I encountered A JW.

He is a rather nice quiet kind of guy. At one time in the past he came to the house and showed some interest in one of my daughters.

Today this poor guy is married to the daughter of the ELDER FROM HELL. His whole family hates him save one. His wife and one daughter joined the Nazarene church just to piss him off.

His wife is the sickly "if it has a name I got it" type.

Anyway as I was leaving, he is at the door coming in and looks up to my face and says, Hua Pua and quickly looks away and down and brushes past.

I had no expression on my face and looked at him as I walked out.

He at first had the very NORMAL HUMAN response for a man he knew. HE WAS TRYING TO SQUEAK OUT Hi Paul.

Before he could the jw,s cult control took over and the cognitive dissonance showed up in his facial contortions.

I wish I could just hug him and shake the shit out of him. Maybe that would wake him up.

Highlight of Evansville, Indiana Convention

someone saw what they thought was a suspicious package.

the evansville police showed up at the convention site of jehovah's witnesses at roberts stadium sun.

I was at a small assembly "circuit" where a bomb threat was phoned in to a radio station I think.

It was right here in S/W Idaho.

The police came and cased the place and it turned out to be a hoax.

About a Year later my daughter tells me that she and an elders daughter had thought this up and the elders daughter had phoned it in.

To this day no one who knew of this, spilled the beans. Including me.

some things confuse me here.

i am in the same position as many where i don't agree with so much the society says and feel stuck dragging myself to the meetings and then feel incredible guilt because the study for the day says it is wrong to have any doubts "even in private".

impossible for me!.

Yes you can 5th!!

You can live with your family.

You may have to use a little spiritual warfare and move slowly while not revealing to others about your doubts.

There are many posters here that still go to the meetings but have a situation similar to yours.

Make your questions and fears known and those who succeeded will tell you what they did and what worked and not.

The last I heard a vasectomy was a conscience matter and up to the individual.

If you keep quiet about it you only have to deal with your conscience and not 4 or 5

other conscience's of the elders. It is your and your wifes lives especially hers. Jehovah has forgiven much more than something this little. I mean the issue-not you.
