On this very occasion Jesus took his eleven faithful apostles into a covenant for the Kingdom, even as we read: “You are the ones that have stuck with me in my trials; and I make a covenant with you, just as my Father has made a covenant with me, for a kingdom, that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones to judge the twelve tribes of Israel.” Other scriptures show that sharing this glory with Jesus and his eleven faithful apostles will be 143,989 others, for a total of 144,001. These all have part in the first resurrection and reign as kings and priests for a thousand years. It is only such as these that are entitled to partake of the Lord’s evening meal.—Luke 22:28-30; Rev. 14:1, 3; 20:4-6. ///quote from W 61 3/15 pages 165-168 ( the deceit of the WT! more lies :WS 14 10/15 14 The new covenant creates the nation of spiritual Israel and is the legal basis for anointed ones to become “joint heirs with Christ.” But how can anointed ones rule with Jesus as kings and priests in heaven? Another legal agreement allows for that...///when Matt 26:28 plainly tells us the new covenant is about forgiveness of sins.

new covenant and covenant for a kingdom...the same?
by enoughisenough injw teach that at the "last supper", a covenant for a kingdom was instituted ( as i understand it ) and so it was only for the "anointed" who would become these kings.
if we look at matt 26:27,28 ...taking the cup..."drink out of it, all of you, for this means my 'blood of the covenant', which is to be poured out in behalf of the many for forgiveness of sins.
( i brought this up in another posting.

question for those who had been elders on judicial committee
by enoughisenough ini was wondering if some who may have been in the judgement seat ( so to speak ) had a wake-up call while judging someone who was defending leaving jw.
( or maybe it was from reading a letter of disassociation.
) .

waton , thank you.... love this.....The promise of rulership for the 12 was already given in Mathew 19:28. it was repeated after the last supper celebration, was again not part of it.//// you are so right about the deceit....Maybe some who are pimo can put this together to help wake up their family and friends.

JW teach that at the "last supper", a covenant for a kingdom was instituted ( as I understand it ) and so it was only for the "anointed" who would become these kings. If we look at Matt 26:27,28 ...taking the cup..."Drink out of it, all of you, for this means my 'blood of the covenant', which is to be poured out in behalf of the many for forgiveness of sins. ( I brought this up in another posting.) In Luke Chapter 22:15...eat this Passover with you....19 passes bread telling it represents his body...20 ..."This cup means the NEW COVENANT by virtue of my blood, which is to be poured out in your behalf." // Then 21 He tells them the betrayer is there ( another question I had, and as far I can tell, it appears Judas was a partaker if the order of things is correct ) 22-27 they discuss who could be the betrayer and get into a dispute as to who was the greatest among them. 28 he tells them they have stuck with him and 29 and I make a covenant with you....for a kingdom...30 ....sit on thrones to judge the 12 tribes of Israel. // I have looked up some cross reference scriptures and it seems me the New Covenant is about Jesus's shedding his blood in order for mankind to have forgiveness of sin. // so it seems to me the NEW COVENANT and the covenant aren't the same. Thoughts?

I looked a few minutes at Reddit and thought it to be hateful and disrespectful and sometimes vulgar -people with chips on their shoulder.....maybe it was just the thread of the day that I checked it out.

God Has Only One Visible Organization on Earth!
by Vanderhoven7 inwhy is it important to some that god only have one visible organization to represent him on earth?
why is it important to jehovah's witnesses that people recognize their organization as such?
what makes a witness more moral or righteous or save-worthy if they accept that it is his one and only organization?
-

they need you to recognize them as God's visible organization so you will help fill the coffers. We don't need to be a member of any organization to praise Jehovah...even that which is inanimate praises God.

How get out of watchtower?
by Hellothere inhow do you get out of watchtower?
am i supposed to write letter to bethel or local congregation telling them i don't want to be a jw anymore?
how are the steps.

I wrote a letter detailing my research as to how I knew JW weren't God's organization on earth. I wanted to send a message. I thought of just fading...but I knew my "friend" would be "concerned" about my being spiritually sick. I didn't want to play the game of agreeing with that pioneer when they were expressing concerns over studies, etc. I only had that one person to loose as the rest of the congregation had very little to do with me even before the lock downs... One needs to count the cost and decide to fade. I really thought to fade at first, but I felt dishonest. Youtube channel exjw critical thinker has some pretty good videos about fading, etc. They may help you determine the best course for yourself.

Is There Life On Mars?
by LoveUniHateExams inno, i'm not talking about the david bowie song, i'm asking does life exist on mars?.
opportunity rover (the one before the present one) took photos of strange, puffball-like sphericals seemingly sprouting on the martian surface.. these photos aren't conclusive evidence but it is an exciting area to investigate.. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-9546225/scientists-claim-evidence-fungi-red-planet.html .

"The Truth"
by Ding inwe all know that jws consider the wt religion to be "the truth" and refer to it as such.. granted, that phrase is used repeatedly in the literature and from the platform.. but it's obvious that much of what the organization used to require jws to teach house-to-house as important truths--even within our own lifetimes--has been abandoned.
it's been replaced by "new light" and "refined understanding.
what's meant by "the 1914 generation" is a prime example.. in fact, i think it would be hard to find another religion that has changed so many of its teachings, especially in such a short period of time.. so why do jws still believe their religion to be "the truth"?.

When The SHTF.
by Lost in the fog inwe have several non-jdub friends who are busy stockpiling foods and goods for the impending societal collapse.
some are happy enough to be called preppers, others are not, but say that looking at the deteriorating condition of the world that it's only a matter of time before the shtf and they want to be prepared to protect themselves and their families when it happens.. contrast that to the jdubs who are actively telling people that the end of the world is coming, but aren't preparing in a practical way because they have been brainwashed by a "jehovah has always protected his servants" mindset from the gb at hq (who laughingly have no reason to be concerned because they're hoping for a quick getaway up to heaven when the jw 'end of the world' comes!).
the most the average jdub has is a go-bag rucksack in case they have to quickly leave their house in the event of a natural disaster like a flood or a wildfire.. isn't it better to be safe than sorry?

I think it is good to be somewhat prepared, but there is time and unforeseen occurrance...If you have plenty and the multitude around you are starving, they will kill you to get your stash! Of course the elite can buy underground luxury bunkers with store houses of food...They hope to out live any disaster...Some don't believe in God Almighty, but if he exists, can anyone really hide? and can he not miraculously save whomever he chooses? I think balance is called for.
