Mother, wife, myself, DA'ing ourselves

well, i've finally had it.

i'm da'ing myself, along with a piece of my fam.

the unbaptised ones are refusing to go with my father now, and even my still devout father is leaning towards our opinion on things.. there wasn't even any screaming when i called the jw's the great hypocrisy last nite.. i just can allow myself to be associated with them in any way.

Thanks for sharing all that, Ashi. This process is part of how we all can "cause the most damage to the WT" (from Jim Dee's Jan 31 post), by sharing what we've gone through, what family members have gone through because of WTS' policies, and how we want all the world to know it, so that possible WTS converts can have a balance of info input, and so that faders on this site can be encouraged to assert their integrity as to what they want to do with themselves and the life they have left to live.

To paraphrase Patrick Henry: "Give me liberty to live, and do NOT give me spiritual and emotional slavery, abuse and death as a JW."

Dreamt A Little Dream

i think i had a vision the other night..or at least the after effects of staying up for too many hours in a row...there i was in my dream walking along and i came across this big house with a big dog on the porch reading a book.

i went up to the house and the dog told me to take my shoes off if i wanted to go in.

i did and walked into the house to find any number of freakish looking people/creatures talking and doing chores and eating and hanging out.

Part 4: The Last KM School

part 4: the last km school .

the average jw elder participates in extra exclusive activities over and above the rank & file jw: among them are the judicial committees, private meetings with the circuit and district overseer on various official occasions, possession of the secretive flock book, and kingdom ministry school.. of all these, the least frequently experienced is km school.

it is not all that exciting, because much of what is covered is admonition about what most jws already know that elders are supposed to be doing: examples in field service, regular shepherding calls, meeting preparation and attendance, study with the family, etc.

Well, they sure lost THIS elder. How nice not to have have the pressure on to kiss arses and lick boots.

Re calling Brooklyn: I did it all the time, from Texas, and nobody ever hassled me about it. I especially got a kick out of listening to Kingdom Melodies on hold (on my nickel).....except one time I was hassling HQ about their strict policy of not combining English and Spanish language groups so that there could be a congregational setup more typical of the mixing of cultures and languages in the Borderlands rather than keeping the groups rigidly segregated in the KH. I guess I called them so much one day the English CO and the Spanish CO came to town together to check things out and politely (they WERE nice about it) informed me that HQ prefers that I go through them -- the 2 CO's -- instead of calling Kingdom Melodies on Hold.

I thought that was great...I finally GOT to them and had some results in the bilingual situation (very small results, like treats thrown to the dog).

In another post I'll get on the bandwagon about the amazingly short-sighted organizational crap I waded around in as I tried to have some more SUBSTANTIAL influence on WTS's linguistic and cultural policies.....

Anyone in other countries have experiences about this intercultural phenomenon in their area? Aborigine-English, Spanish-French, German-Italian, Urdu-Hindi, etc etc etc?

the jw organization is clearly inquisitional and demon-inspired.

their inventing "new light" is actually how satan works -- by transforming himself into an angel of light, different kinds of "light" according to the circumstances.. even the catholic church does not treat people as severely as jw's, with their shunning and disfellowshipping (at least now that the inquisition has been over for some time).. won't it be good if we all can see her waters dry up totally.

Don't us 'mericuns have lotsa stuff ta be proud of??? Maybe that's what happens when one's country is founded by Puritans. Convicts may have a better basis for sanity and reasonableness.

i larf and larf when i remember watching apes at the san diego zoo pick up their piles of excrement, fling them at the crowd, and then roll on the ground in apparent glee and laughter as the crowd tried to avoid getting hit.. we have to keep up our joy as we fling our stuff at wts and watch them cringe.

i larf and larf when i remember watching apes at the san diego zoo pick up their piles of excrement, fling them at the crowd, and then roll on the ground in apparent glee and laughter as the crowd tried to avoid getting hit.. we have to keep up our joy as we fling our stuff at wts and watch them cringe.

I already heard that story in connection with witnessing in Mexico, as well as from the platform at a district assembly in the U.S., well before 2000. Aren't JW's mind-bogglingly inventive?
