  Do you make statements in the form of a question?

  ever notice how the wts rarely ever makes a clear statement?

  they tend to phrase things in the form of a question allowing the reader to infer the "correct" answer.. i wonder if this is to sidestep responsibility.. .

  Of course it's to sidestep responsibilty. They DELIGHT in being abusive to the "faithful." When they spouted the 1975 hypothesis they said "would it not be appropriate if...?" [Jehovah God would bring the system to an end in 1975].

  So everyone jumped on the 1975 bandwagon, BECAUSE THE FAITHFUL AND DISCREET SLAVE SAID IT!!!!!!

  When it didn't work out they then blamed "certain Christians" for being anxious about the timetable that God is using to restore Paradise to "suffering mankind."

  The Watchtower is THE PINNACLE of abusive treatment meted out by a religious organization to its followers, and deserves all the woes that are certain to befall it!!!

  Jehovah's "eye" will certainly not "feel pity" for the Borg when it has heaped upon it all the horrendous abuse it's handed out to others.

  organized religion is organized simply to keep its organization together, to propagate and finance itself.

  look at jesus' words.

He was like the Buddha in simply trying to get people to look at their relationship with God and/or their own spirituality. He was NOT an Organization Man. Nor do any of us need to be. God will judge us individually, if indeed that's what "God" DOES, by how true we were to Truth itself, not to some organization.

  Seems this site is helpful to those who are seeking Truth.

  it educates and benefits the great crowd of overcomers, whose steadfast reliance on jehovah and the spiritual food from his organization truly is a cause for rejoicing.. 2. too, suchlike ones manifest their support for god's arrangement by regularly assembling at christian meetings and submissively acknowledging the headship of spirit-appointed elders.

  We may have given our everlasting thanks to the "computer dudes to Bethel" movement that started to be solicited by WBTS thru letters to the congregations around 1979. We may have thought "Oh, Jehovah using computers ..... that will help with the dissemination of the Good News." It actually began the process of endless regurgitation of colorless, odorless, tasteless, imaginationless and uninspiring theocratic pap by means of the magazines, Kingdom Ministrys and other publications. The whole plan was to aid and abet the further mental imprisonment of those who either thought it was "the truth" or who were in danger of falling into that trap.

  It's interesting how "the truth" really does set one "free," from the crap, bullshit, hypocrisy and forked-tongued blatherings of religious organizations.

  If Government really does move against religious organizations as the Watchtower has proclaimed, it will be, NOT because those governments are necessarily evil, but because the religious organizations under fire definitely ARE evil, as all religious organizations are, by nature, and deserve to be destroyed.

  How important is good spelling?

  if you read my post's you may have noticed i'm not the best at spelling.. i think i could be dyslexic, my father and one of my sisters are, and i tend to make the same mistakes.. also i havent had the need to do much writing since i left school so i'm out of practise.. i believe i'm getting in better, at least i hope so .. anyway the point is this.i once had a discusson with a brother about spelling.he believed there was a correct absolute standard for spelling words, which was the oxford dictionary.. the way it was spelt there is the way to spell it.. if they changed the spelling you should change.. but i feel things like spelling are not absolute.of course people need to understand what we write.but i feel small changes to words to make them fit more inline with how we say them would be benifical.. what is the point of having a word spelt a different way to how it is said?.

  but do you judge poster's intelligence on their spelling?.

  i guess we mostly do.. how important to you is the way people spell?

  Substandard spelling on a board such as this, while not being a life-or-death matter, can detract from the printed message if the reader is fairly literate. It feels like little roadblocks for the eye to stumble over. Webster's Dictionary can be used as a standard in the US, Oxford in UK, etc. Some languages are very consistent in their correct spelling such as Spanish whether in Spain, Mexico or Argentina, but English has its regional variations such as AUTHORISE in UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc, while it's AUTHORIZE in the US. Items such as "You're" for "You are", "It's" for "It is" (in contrast with the possessive "its" such as in "its color") are standard wherever you go in the English-speaking world, even where English is an important language but not necessarily the language of all the speakers such as in India or Israel.

  Men don't just love women and women don't just love men. Males and females are just opposite sides of the mirror. They belong together like ham and cheese (unless you're Kosher); like two halves of a complete being. If they truly realized this then there would be fewer or no divorces and no more war.

  The logicalness of men needs the emotional qualities of women, and vice-versa. Remember when Whtatshername with the bald head wanted to join with Veeger in Star Trek Movie?

  we all know what toilets are for - the disposing of.

  I also was an elder who thought elders would take the lead in love...it was more like hate and rivalry.

  Speaking of Men of All Nations Loving One Another.....That was just a pile of bullshit in reality. The Spanish did not like the English and called them "Americanos" while calling themselves "Mexicanos." All they cared about was making disciples in Spanish, even if the Hispanic householder was more proficient in English. It was like scoring points in a football game for your team rather than what was for the best spiritual advantage of the householder or Bible "study."

  Whatever the hell real Christianity may be, it certainly is not found among Jehovah's Witnesses!!!
