Let those in Judea flee! pllease get off of the computers every one!! please.
I read this message board regularly (but rarely participate). But I'm at a loss with this plea? What's all the urgency about?
.
and i just wanted to know if i am the only one that felt that 'spirit' led them into the jw and the same 'spirit' led them out of jws???
a bit confused but loveing every minute of the peace,.

if someone asked to state briefly why you left the jw brotherhood what would you say?
Because the Truth led me out of Darkness. To do otherwise would have been a denial of the Lord Jesus Himself. To go back would be apostasy of the authentic kind. I think I'll stick with the real deal.
did a man called jesus christ (english) walk this earth.
if so was he an essene?
yeheshua ben josph (hebrew) iesous christos (greek) or iesus nazerenus (latin)?.
Yes, he did. And what's more, He still lives. I know, because like Kenneson, I've met Him.
ok sometimes i feel it's good to maybe not redress the balance, but at least can you say something positive that you gained from your jw experience.
so thats what i want you to do, if you so feel inclined.
can you say or mention something that had a positive effect on you when you were a witness?
Being a JW and being associated with the Watchtower Society taught me what abusive religion is and what spirituality isn't.
looking back at all the sacrifices that you had to make to be a jehovah's witness, which one was the most unreasonable??
?
Developing the attitude that I was so much better than my non-witness family. I'm deeply ashamed that I spent so many years neglecting my mom. But a mom's love is priceless. She welcomed me back with open arms and never said anything except I'm glad you're out of that religion. Oh yeah, she did say one other thing....and that was "I knew you'd come to your senses some day. I was just waiting...." Aren't mothers great??
.
i would like to invite the forum members to visit my site at.
where you may read the spanish and english versions of the book "great love for jesus led me to islam"
Jesus' love for me lead me completely OUT of religion, period.
does the wts have any scriptural evidence that jesus would return invisibly and annoint them?
They can't 'prove' anything at all about Jesus. As for an anointing, only the individual recieving it can testify of it. Others that have recieved it can usually recognize it in the testimony and actions of other recipients. The WT 'faithful & discreet slave' are NOT anointed. They cannot describe it, cannot testify of it, and certainly have never provided evidence of such a wonderful event in their words or actions.
i was a jw for 40 years.
although as an individual/cong/body of elders holy spirirt was prayed for, i cannot think of one moment when i thought..right now i have gods spirit acting upon me.
it was never described adequately for me to completely understand and i suspect that others felt the same, yet everyone talked as though they knew exactly how it worked.
Yes I did feel the 'prompting' of the Holy Spirit as a JW. And although I didn't realize it at the time, it was the Holy Spirit that brought me out of the Watchtower organization. It culminated that part of my life when I was baptized with the Holy Spirit (and THAT you do feel) in Nov 1995.
surfed upon this while in a search on usenet.
try to get past the drama and get to the meat of the post.
submit any comments you have re: the title of my thread, thx, if you wish:.
JWs today are baffled by you, because it's different today, for lack of a better word, it is a "reformed" organization
Reformed??? Perhaps, but I hardly think so. I would be more inclined to describe it as another JW generation trying to make their wacked out religious sect more palatable to a new, but better informed and savvy public.
go ahead, i'm listening...
Jesus is saying the JW's are standing and worshipping before a cold dark abandoned mountain. There is no life or light before them. Their worship is in vain because the god they're worshipping (the WTS) is no god at all. They will remain in spiritual darkness as long as they stand before that mountain. And they will remain dead because they refuse to come to him for life. And all the while he weeps tears of compassion for them
