PIMA is best so it’s not a shock to the system if the tower collapsed

i know most people here are totally out and that’s fine.. many these days are staying physically in for the social life and that is also fine.. i feel being fully mentally in is dangerous as it could be such a shock mentally if or should i say when the tower collapsed.. im sitting in the fence like so many others here.

mentally agnostic if god exists or not and if the bible is his word.. when i talk to people who are physically and mentally still in i can tell that they so need it to be true.

i’m worried for them when they wake up to the fact that they have been lied to 1914 wasn’t true 1975 wasn’t true 1999 wasn’t true and now here we are 2025 it’s all not true.

I think this will backfire. All parents will be wondering if their children should be thinking about things or just not asking questions?

It’s obvious children should be asking questions. And now parents are told to just shut them down trust the fat old men in upstate NY don’t question them at all.

I thought JWs were all about study and if there is something you don’t understand then study so you do understand it.

but now it seems to be if there is something that you don’t understand say 607 1914 for example don’t whatever you do go and do research don’t Google it do not do research do not study just trust the fat old man in upstate New York whatever you do don’t question 607 and 1914

The Governing Body is Restructuring the Org.and encouranging young ones to REACH OUT!

the governing body just doesn't let up on encouraging the young children to reach out to do free labor for the organization.

so another generation of young people with ruined lives.

another generation of young people that will get old and wake up in their 50s to realize they were in a religious doomsday cult.. and they are getting rid of some old workers that ran the branches of the organization, and giving them different assignments or maybe they are just sending them home, who knows.

Yes, I certainly did know that people who are ‘cast aside’ (a polite term for being kicked out of bethel) 🤣 were told to ‘expect’ help from Witness relatives and friends in their ‘old’ congregation.

The problem is those people may not agree with this.. It’s one thing to get someone a bag of groceries until they get back on their feet. But let’s be honest here. These people who are in advanced age - are not getting ‘back on their feet’. They are expecting to be supported pure and simple. Hope everybody realizes this.

What makes matters worse is that some are made special pioneers which means they get rent paid no matter how much it goes up.

special pioneers nowadays only have to do 70 hours a month and they get paid a wage for that I remember having to do 90 and have a part-time job on top of that

The special pioneers get all the rent paid matter how much the rent goes up with inflation they get their allowance which is often on top of the state pension so they’re much better often than state pensioners and they can still go to Bethel for the free dentist Optition doctors even have volunteered Sister is coming to give massages and reflexology things like that

Is now a wide gap between the special pioneers and those who are kicked out of Bethel for old age who are not special pioneers

Everyone hates it when the special pioneers answer up about how well looked after their yes of course you are good for you

I think the old Brother from the 60s and 70s never thought this through

They never thought we’d get to 2025 and all the young Bethel lights and thought the end was right around the corner and now having to get up three or four times a night to take a pee

what if the end doesn’t come another 10 years 2035? There’s gonna be so many old Bethel lights there will be a burden on the congregations. This is why they’re trying to kick out as many older ones now before they get to be a burden on the branch office.

His two daughters are a long way from being adults yet. So I don’t know why he says they don’t need their father around anymore, what they need is a good father. But he obviously realises that they are soon going to be the age where they find out all the truth about Lloyd and his activities with prostitution.

This would absolutely disgust a daughter who finds this out about their biological father. Any woman will feel shame and hatred for her father when they find out.

I wonder if he will try saying that is what I used to be like but I have cleaned up my life now?

So now it seems they are backtracking on the judgement locust message will they remove all those videos of that poor old Sister saying to the two elder brothers if I’m scared to go to the Ministry now then What will it be like when we have the judgement message where we tell people it’s too late you’re going to die there’s nothing you can do.

They’re gonna have to backtrack on all this maybe remove those videos

I’m finding this whole thing, fascinating watching the tower slowly fall

Physically in and mentally agnostic PIMA is the best way to be with all the changes now you can be open about being agnostic

if you said you don’t believe the governing body are who they claim to be then this could be considered apostate if on the other hand you instead openly say I have doubts if the governing body are who they claim to be but I don’t know for sure then you get love bombed you get invited out more you get treated so well

its advantageous now to express doubts and to tell the elders you used to have strong faith but now it is waning. You can have lots of attention and invites out if you want to.

Im not sure how long you could milk this though because soon I can see it becoming the norm rather than the exception.

this years regional convention will be interesting. There’s a whole load about being physically and mentally out but will they make videos about those who are physically and mentally agnostic

i remember all the talk about him moving back to the UK because he said in a video some personal stuff going on his life there’s no need for him to stay in Croatia and his girls are grown up now and they don’t need their father around for some personal reasons it’s obvious cause they’ve got a new stepdad

My definition of light or heavy when it comes to your beliefs is how sure you are.

anyone who is absolutely sure they are correct in their beliefs about how the universe originated is in the heavy categor.

if you think I lean towards this belief system but are open to the possibility you may not be 100% correct then you are in the light category.

i think most JWs and in fact most people in religions and non religion beliefs systems are in the light category.

even the most ardent atheists have doubts that just maybe there was intelligent design involved somewhere along the line

It’s very easy to bash other belief systems. I could bash atheists all day long but then again they could bash those who believe in God.

Those who believe in the trinity get basked by those who think Jesus is Gods son and vice versa.

It’s just as easy to bash JWs as it is every other belief system.

I think k the best way is to decide for yourself if you think the universe had intelligent design or not. If not then be an evolutionist.

if you believe the universe and everything in was designed then you have to decide if that designer had anything to do with the Bible. Then you have to decide if Jesus was just an ordinary man or if he was Gods firstborn son, who he claimed to be.

Then you really have to be honest and say there are so many interpretations of the scriptures we just don’t know. We can do our best to try and guess but it is very presumptuous to say that I have the correct interpretation and others are wrong.

this is the way JW lite seems to be going. I love the sound of the promises in the Bible but let’s be honest nobody really has the entire truth about the scriptures.

Im staying physically in JWs and find it very interesting studying the Bible with the congregation every week. But always think we may not have the correct understanding of these scriptures.

Too many people like Lloyd Evans for example bash other people’s belief systems without saying this is the correct belief system that other people could bash.

Most religions and even non religious beliefs like evolution have 90%+ members in the lite category.

JWs used to have minority in the lite categories and majority heavily into it.

i suspect that was true with Catholics and every type of Protestant or other belief system in years gone by.

These days even Muslim and every other belief system including atheism most people are in the lite categories of their belief system.

there has been a big change in the JWs since Covid, and since the GB keep saying “we don’t know”

then the GB have stated they are not infallible.

this is basically admitting that what they currently believe may be wrong.

so really all JWs should be JW lite and say to themselves we may be right about this or that but in the other hand we may not have the correct understanding of it.

I myself am in this category. I’m pretty sure the GB are wrong about lots of things but I don’t have the presumption to say I have the correct understanding of it.
