when i see polls suggesting trump has a 95% chance to lose the presidency, according to drudge report, which is now totally liberal, and i see the huge crowds of trump supporters as opposed to the 20 people showing up for biden rallies, i have to wonder what i should believe.

do i believe my lying eyes or am i totally messed up?.

2020 Meeting Content/Schedule - Anyone know what is coming?

hello all - no 2020 midweek meeting content has been published yet.

anyone know or hear of what will be changed for 2020 due to the pandemic?

even my pimi family (i am pimo) is scratching their heads wondering why we are still reviewing content from 2017-2019 that talk about all the future plans, field service, etc etc etc....that have all been derailed due to covid-19.

One day you are living in a nice world with a bright future, a ton of friends all around the world, the love of brothers and sisters, a paradise earth just around the corner---------and then out of nowhere, you wake up and find all your body parts strapped to dozens of wires sucking the energy out of you to keep the big Watchtower machine going.

Then you realize that the life you were living was all a scam, and all the promises that were made was like a carrot to keep you under CONTROL OF THE WATCHTOWER ORGANIZATION WHILE THEY SUCKED ALL THE LIFE OUT OF YOU FOR THEIR PURPOSE.

I'm actually pretty close to your age. I also was born in and in my mid teens I started figuring out that my religion was pretty much a scam. I didn't make a big issue out of it considering I still lived at home and wasn't even legally able to get a job. So i just went along for the ride until I was ready to leave the nest and fly the coupe.

At 18 I left home, got several part time jobs, went to college and to be honest, looking back, I have no idea how I made it. I could of planned better. Perhaps stay at home until I finished college.

I know the feeling of being disgusted with the whole thing, but now you have to start looking at life in reality. Basically you are on your own and nobody is coming to help you---so you have to start getting smart and planning your every step towards a Nice future.

In real life you play the game when with your enemies, until you have the power and means to leave and care for yourself. --------But wait, -------there is no hurry, and thus you got plenty of time to "Learn" to live with the disgusting Watchtower Organization until you are able to leave.

So if you must meet with the elders, now is an excellent time to start sharping up your skills and FOOLING THEM-------- Just like they have fooled you all these years. That's Right,----Now It's Your Turn to do the fooling, and believe me, elders are some of the most stupid men you will ever meet.

Remember they still believe the Watchtower is God's True Organization he is using on earth---------WHILE YOU HAVE JUST FIGURED IT ALL OUT AT 20.

I also visit exjw reddit since most there are around my age. Guess what, there are over 55,000 PIMO jws over there between the ages of 13-30, majority------and we also have some older ones who also have waken up.

HELL------he just admitted what we all know----- that a body of people, more than likely, some influential members of government agencies -------or the military,------ is involved in the secret manipulation or control of government policy, and Trump is in the way.

There is a war already in process in the United States and the majority of citizens can't see it. It is a war for control of the entire Country and it's military assets.

Actually several of us in my area have been watching this very closely with Trump and those doing everything possible, legally and illegally to remove him but so far have failed.

How far will they go even if he wins to remove him????

Some of the older ones before i was even born have related that something similar happened during the John F. Kennedy Presidency. I've heard many stories but wasn't around so I have no opinon.

Historicity of the Prophets

for many years i have sought to understand how the bible was put together.. thus my name on here.

i started out more or less in line with what many schoolars felt in both old and new testament studies and over the year my notes have flucuated with dates and probable authorship.

a few years ago i slid into minimalist or copenhagen school understanding of the texs but still retained a slight historicity of the prophets.

Finding a mate

so here i am 44 yr old divorced and free to remarry jw sister....first time single since i was 19. but guess what no single brothers in my area.

i’ve tried those stupid jw dating sites and still no luck.

oh yes there are tons of single brothers, but guess what...they all expect a hot barbie to come running into their life.

Hi MissMary--and welcome.

I'm sorry you now find yourself in this situation. It's not easy being single after being married some 25 years. I have lot's of friends who are going through the same thing you are and they are not or have ever been JWs.

Yet they seem to have the same difficulty in finding a soulmate, and their field for looking is a lot larger than someone who can only look within the Watchtower religion. My perspective on this phenomena, is that the difficulty of finding someone in latter years, is due to the fact that as people grow, they are more aware of what they want, and those wants narrow the field.

Also, “sometimes “ our expectations don't match reality anymore, and the person doesn't realize it. (Your story of the LARGE men expect young and skinny----is a good example of this) I've seen this actually not long ago. An acquaintance of mine 60 plus years old fell for a 20 some year old gorgeous girl, who was really nice to him.) I know this girl and it just happens that her personality is such---- that she is nice to EVERYONE. He misinterpreted her being nice ---to her being interested in him. I tried to reason with him but, it was impossible.

Then one day he went over to where she worked to give her some flowers, and was shocked to the core that she was kissing this 20 year old, tall, muscular, good looking young man with long locks of blond hair that befits a Man-God.

He was devastated

Here is what happens in real life that we sometime fail to see.

When you are young, say 19, and marry, in youth, (Strong sexual desire, ignorance of the real world, getting busy raising kids) this actually helps the couple stay together through thick and thin) and before you know it, 20-30-40 years pass by and if the couple hangs in there, they stay together for a lifetime.

But sometimes things get in the way, someone messes up, and the other is unable to forgive, and then both find themselves single again at a later age, some in their late 20s other in their late 50s- it just depends I guess.

My suggestion is that you WIDEN YOUR FIELD. Don’t just look within the Watchtower Organization. It’s difficult enough when you have the whole world as your field of prospective mates, I can’t imagine trying to find a soulmate in a tiny world where the image of a good wife is characterized as someone who is (Young-beautiful-skinny-pioneer-in subjection to her husband)

I think instead you should look for someone who wants to be your “Closest Friend, -----admires your personality, ----loves your inner qualities----and you should do the same.

In the meantime, you should use use your time to get to know yourself. Your were probably to busy in your marriage to do that before. Read books to learn about human nature---positive books- not books that degrade men—or women.

One more thing, Life is pretty awesome, whether you are married or single. But I think our culture has made it seem that if you are not married, you are a loser. I know “Especially” the WT religion is notorious for doing this inadvertently.

But I know this is not true because I have tons of friends who have never been married but are very happy. They don’t rule out marriage, in fact, they date a lot and enjoy dating, and if it doesn’t work out, they remain Close friends with most of those they date, --but they just haven’t found that person that’s just right, ---to spend the rest of their life with. Nothing wrong with that.

You should date as much as possible before you settle down for the rest of your life. Get to know people, find out what kind of persons they turned out to be.

For instance, adultery to the ancient Hebrews was only if a man, married or single, had sex with a married woman. If a married man had sex with a single woman that was not adultery. That was not a sin to them.

And it wasn't a sin if a KING had 1000 wives and concubines.
