Most people who've never been in don't realise how profound a sentence like "I used to be a Jehovah's Witness" is. They probably think that leaving is no more stressful than cancelling a subscription. From what I've read, it's more like trying to leave the Mob: you can't!

Telling People You Used To Be A JW
by JW_Rogue insince i faded i've told a few people at work about having been raised in this organization but i found that most people don't really get what it is like at all.
they just focus on not celebrating holidays as if that is the worst thing about growing up jw.
i didn't explain much because it's too much for most people to handle.

It flies in the face of the WT assumption* that you'll probably inherit something nasty from someone else's blood. In this case, you inherit something good.
Can you still find WT articles where someone had a blood transfusion and went weird because they'd acquired the donor's characteristics?
* One of their many assumptions about blood

Having watched prophetic interpretation for many years, by people who have a Bible in one hand and a newspaper in the other, I know that, like a number 12 bus, there'll be another one* along soon. 🙄

ah, yes, another shining example of the watchtower’s *unmatched* commitment to rational thought.
forget logic, science, or even basic common sense—just blame that suspiciously cursed handbag for all your troubles!

"There once was a man from Nantucket . . . 🤣🤣🤣"
Who carried his books* in a bucket
One day on the track,
The bucket talked back
Which caused him to say "Oh, truck it!"

Actually, from what I've read from many former JWs, is that they all had demonised handbags and bookbags. Why else would all of them not feel like going out in field service? 🤔

jhine: "I would have to ask if any of these stories told by the WT actually true ? They all start with ' A Christian man ' or ' A Christian woman ' , so very anonymous"
They're the WT version of parables. Instead of Jesus's "A certain man...", it's "A Christian man/woman...".

Depression and big pharma drugs
by Anonymous666 ini'm going to drop a bomb shell here for all you who think you know something about depression.
most depression cases are being cause by the food and drug administration.
they are putting things in certain foods that they know will affect certain people especially those who have gluten problems.

Apparently the whole "exploding beeper" attack on Hezbollah has been noticed by the conspiracy theory community and has made its way here in this form:
"There secret weapon is lithium. They give the patients lithium and then when the time is right through cellular phone technology they send out a certain frequency through your cellular phone and the Lithium causes the person to be completely paralyzed and the EMS takes them away in the morning"
So the lithium carbonate in a person's body takes on the the characteristics of metallic lithium in a battery and shorts out, causing a complete electrical meltdown of that person's nervous system?
I've got to give the OP credit for originality. I can't find this particular conspiracy theory on the web. Snopes had something about lithium in chemtrails, but it didn't have this "exploding beeper" twist.
One hundred percent trolling. 💯🧌
Edited to add: I've been looking up "human antenna" as per Kerry king's suggestion and can't find this variant of it. Anyway, enough time wasted by me on this subject. It has been a fascinating insight into how conspiracy theories get born.

"Church officials told the inquest the church did not provide medical information to members as it was a religious organisation, not a medical organisation."
Yet what are these "work sheets" that are being referred to here?
"Before her surgery, Mrs Winchester had also spoken to doctors about work sheets parishioners were given by the church outlining unacceptable blood products"
That pretty well gives the lie to the first quote up above. Theocratic warfare at its finest.
The WT blood dogma probably gives the impression that alternatives to blood transfusions are readily available anywhere, but those alternatives weren't available in the entire state of New South Wales. It feels like the coroner is tearing his hair out in frustration over the situation.
