Greastest wastes

not counting your personal regrets, what was the greatest waste of life and talent you ran across in the organization.. i have 2:.

1. a guy who was a brilliant grand master chess player who gave it up when he became a witness.. 2. a beautiful young lady that i dated (the last i dated) who gave up a scholarship to julliard school for music to study opera and who was working as a bank teller.. can people be prosecuted for murdering dreams?.

My husband quit the University of Texas to be a dub. He is the most talented musician and could have gone far with music. Instead he is a plumber, albeit a very successful one, but he could have been so much more. He attended Interlochen in Michigan, a performing arts school with many now famous people. His mom (a dub at the time) was mad as hell that he quit school and never forgave the elder and his wife who encouraged him to quit. The elder, by the way, was an architect who was a very well known and extremely successful artist who did a lot of work for the borg. He went to college. Go figure.

My brother is incredibly smart but never attended college. I have always wondered what he would have become if he had. I'm sure he does too.

i thought it would be interesting for people to just post a few things about themselves so we can get to know each other just a bit.. try posting 10 facts about your life.. joel.

1. i was born and raised in south georgia.. 2. my favorite subject in school was math.. 3. i was in the fulltime service (bethel and pioneer) for 4 years.. 4. my favorite color is blue.. 5. mitch and i have been together over 12 years.. 6. we live in a suburb of atlanta georgia.. 7. we love to eat out and have friends over for dinner and board games.. 8. the only sport i was ever any good at is tennis.. 9. my favorite tv show of all time is the simpsons.. 10. we are both naturists and wish we could lay on the beach naked every day.

1. I live in a small town called Edmonds, on Puget Sound in Washington state.

2. I got married at 18, we just celebrated 13 years.

3. We had our first child (boy now age five) after 8 years of marriage (our choice to wait) and our second (girl, three) was born 21 months later

4. Mulan and I are surrounded by redheads. My dad, three brothers, husband and two children all have bright red hair. Very lucky.

5. We run a plumbing company from our house so I can stay home with the two poopers. I do the books at night.

6. I left the borg at age 27 and enjoy the freedom every single day.

7. I love to read (currently Robin Cook) and work on memory albums for my kids.

8. I also brush my teeth in the shower

9. I love to ski and go canoeing but haven't done either since my kids were born. We hope to teach the kids to ski this year and have two canoes now, so next year we can all go together.

10. My family is my favorite thing in the world. I love being with them (even my brothers) and especially love taking my kids

elderly people, not married, living together?

i would like some opinions on a situation that seems to be arising in my family.. since my mother is now a widow, and her income will be much less, she may not be able to afford to stay where she is, even with the financial assistance she gets from the family.

so we have talked about her moving in with us.

the problem is, my father, her ex husband lives with us too.

I'm glad it's working out in your favor mom. I'm relieved for you. Everybody probably thinks I'm so awful for saying what I did but they don't know that I have watched Grandma make you miserable for as long as I can remember. I'd hate to see her have such easy access to you.

Wendy, they have set a good example for us. We have a nice tent in the garage we will set up in the backyard when the time comes.

Sorry mom but, YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR MIND!!!!! Who cares what they do with each other (you already heard S' story on that) I'm worried about what she will do to you. Have you considered that they both will plant their butts in your living room? Isn't there some sweet old lady at the KH that she can drive crazy? How would it be any different if he moved in with her? If they are going to be roomies, why not leave you out of it? Except of course the fact that you will be cleaning and cooking for both of them! Think carefully on this one, it could put you over the edge.

i posted some questions a while ago about my wife, and now i'm lost.

i put together a 200 page exposition on how the governing body are false witnesses using only watchtower literature (scans and the cd) and showing how they claim to be the salvation and that people shouldn't think for themselves, showed it to my wife, and she simply told me that she knew all those things and that if she could she would divorce me.

it's all in the bible.. the weird thing is though, the next morning, she pretended like things are fine.

noahs ark and ostriches!

i was speaking to a friend who is a j.w and asked her a couple of questions,the first one was that if god created everything perfect why did he give a bird wings when it is to heavy to fly ie:the ostrich,my second was that when the great flood receaded and all life was destroyed what did the lions,tigers and all the other meat eating animals do for food,the answer she gave me was that they ate plants and things?was she winding me up?im still waiting for the ostrich answer.
