i get the feeling that there is more to the eve story than we are aware of.. if we look at the patriachal religions, they are very 'anti-woman'.

Of course religions in the middle east are patriarchial, this matches the theme of their system of family and government. God was invented by Kings to scare the lessers and help legitimize them. The head of all religions both now and in the past was the king. The main hero of all religions is also a king or aspiring king. as jws we are always told to read daily, but you can't get much sense of context or continuity when you read a chapter or two a day.
so, i knew if i was going to give up on the religion and/or the bible it would only be after i had actually read and researched.

I would suggest that you read about the monumental struggle where the many jewish groups (Rome woudl call them terrorists) were trying to break away from Rome. They literally were killing their own countrymen or non jews. The jewish religion is unfortunately very much based on racism and separatism. The OT contains many directions to wipe out non jews and rarely talks about integration. The jews also believed that God would give them victory so they fought, and they lost. This is why Rome had to destroy jerusalem, because the religion was a poison in the much the same way Islam in many places is the primary motivating factory in their madness. Lucky for us they are over there, but in the times of Rome the empire was nt that lucky.
Everything John and Jesus mentions and refers to was about the struggle just before and after 70ad.
Rome had to ban jews from Jerusalem and judea. They also changed the name of Judea to Palestine as anothe punishment. I put it to you jesus was another creation to tell the jews to wait for the kingdom in heaven and be good slaves and tax payers to Rome.
As a survivor John was angry that his jewish world and the jewish god had abandoned them, with many jews killed in their struggle. He writes what happened, and extra stuff which he dreams did happen, but didnt.

Your words are wise, the bible should be perfect and should reveals gods will in perfect form instead of riddles requiring twisting and interpretation.

the number mentioned 666 is more likely 616 for the emperor caligula who put a statue of himself in the temple at jerusalem, and the first verses in the book and the last chapter all say that these thing will happen quickly.

You dont understand the code thats why you cant read the message. I m dont believe its prophecy at all its just they wrote in a different style back then. They believed in angels and magical creatures so the author uses them in his writings.
