Iv'e only experienced something similar to this weird state once. I was still lying in my bed struggling to sleep since I was starting in a new job early in the morning after and was a bit anxious about it. Then I suddenly realized all my blood veins were outside my body. Nothing bloody or messy, they just were on the outside. But it actually felt like it was supposed to be, and it wasn't frightening in any way. Can't really remember how I woke up from it or what happened but when I was really awake I actually had to rationalize that my veins were supposed to be on the inside. I dunno if this qualifies as being some sort of sleep paralysis but it sure was weird, hehe.

My demon experience
by SweetBabyCheezits inone recent afternoon, me and a buddy were taking a trek around a nearby neighborhood and made our way past a delapidated house that had all the familiar symptoms of being haunted.
he suggested we check it out so, of course, we did.
it looked like it had been abandoned probably 30-40 years earlier but the previous owners had left behind a small coffee table.

Don't know where to turn, Don't know who to trust
by BrotherPrince inno, not that prince, its just a username.
hey apostates, i've heard about these types of forums at meetings and such, never would've guessed it was called jehovahs-witness.net lol.
(excuse my shock, hope no one is offended).

Hello and welcome to this forum :) I hope you will allow me to disagree with you about some things. The world isn't getting worse when watching the big perspective. There might be some economic problems in the world, but it was far worse in the 1920's. Here in Norway I can't say that we actually experience any of the problems either. Central Europe hasn't been at war since the end of the second world war, and the last time we had peace like that was pax romana back in the roman days with Caesar Augustus. I recommend you to read something that is not published by the Watchtower inc. It is always easier to make a decision when you know both sides of the story.

UK convention dramas recorded by American actors - the GB's yearly gaffe
by cedars ini'm just curious as to whether any of my fellow brits ever pondered how the society can be so stupid as to insist using the us drama tapes at uk conventions rather than having them re-recorded in a british accent?.
as all of us brits know, the convention drama is a subject of subdued derision among uk publishers - and i've been to many a party or social gathering where, at some point, somebody whose had a little too much coke re-enacts a scene from a drama mockingly (typically by gesturing wildly into the air and saying "jer-ho-vah gaaard!!
" in an over-the-top american accent).. what the society clearly doesn't understand is that the dramas really lose their emotional impact with british audiences when performed in an american accent by amateurs.

The british accent is by far the most beautiful aswell. In Norway we say; If I had a british accent I would never stop talking :)

It makes me sad.
by Matsimus inrecently, when saying goodbye to my grandmother, who i only see a few times a year, she started tearing and said something that made me very sad.
she said she had to tell me that the door to jehovah's kingdom is closing at any moment now, and that if i didn't do anything now, it would be to late.
to her, she is facing an eternity without her grandchildren and it makes her very sad.

To her, she is facing an eternity without her grandchildren and it makes her very sad. I don't have the heart to tell her that I do not share her beliefs, and that I believe the world will go on as usual. All I am able to do is nodding and silently saying yes. How can I be able to stand up and say that I disagree? And how will she react, as she is a very devout witness?

My son was murdered today
by truman ini have been on this site daily, almost from its beginning, since i left the jws in 2001, but i have been more of a reader than a poster, as you can see from my post count.
i know few here know me, although i know many of you through reading your posts.
maybe it is not right to ask for support, when i generally stay quietly in the background of this forum, but i want only to speak a human misery of the deepest kind.

My tears are forcing themselves out, and it deeply saddens my heart to hear about your loss. Iv'e been trying to find some comforting words, but they all seem so empty when faced against such a tragedy.

Is it just me or is the GB asking for money more directly.
by life is to short inok soi grew up in the religion and i remember so often the churches being slammed at the meetings for passing the plate and how they shamelessly begged for money.
how we as jehovah's witnesses are so much better because we never ask for money and the contribution box is sort of hidden in the back of the hall like we were even embarrassed to have to have that.
just the word contribution was so much better than the words the worldly churches used.

Wow! I never thought it could be this bad! I got out at a young age and before I got baptized so I don't have much experience about the donations. I have learned though, that they removed the price on literature to avoid taxation, but witnesses are supposed to contribute after recieving them. It seems to me that they started out as a regular christianity branch, and have evolved into a greedy corporate cult. People with very little money actually gives alot to a corporation with a billion dollars in revenue, and it tears my heart. They have become the very thing they openly rejects and hates, greedy.

UN-land seems powerful, how I become king there?
Saying the UN is the eighth king is like saying the governing body communes with god.... oh wait.

That really made me laugh! How long do you have to sink before comparing the perfect lady with a cow? Haha. Be careful now, even talking about sex with a boy might make you pregnant!
