i finally called the jw who placed a book with me last fall and wanted to start a study with me.

i didn't expect to talk two hours, but he was willing.

i still don't know why he didn't hang up on me.

In the US you have quite a few "Mega Churches" like Joel Osteen's(?) church with 20000 members, and several others which you're probably more aware of than me.

Don't they have a much bigger "growth" rate than the Witnesses?

Or don't they count those type of churches as a "religion"?

"Fastest growing" is a nonsense any way. If I start my own "religion" today, and recruit 5 new followers in a week I'm growing at 600% per week

But if I have 60 000 000 followers and recruit 6 000 000 in a year I'm "only" growing at a measly 10% per year!

iPod Question and Help

my daughter, jennie, got an ipod for christmas.

currently we are downloading her mp3's from a cd to itunes.

however i am very confused about how to then download songs from the itunes library to the ipod.

Hi

You rip the CD into iTunes.

Then you highlight the tracks/album you want and then "drag and drop it" into (Your iPod) icon in the left "margin"

just a little breaking news:.

after several years of a great friendship with diane (previously posted as xena) things have started to really come together recently and i've succumbed to making an honest woman of her (or at least as honest as it's possible to make her.

last night (xmas day) i popped the question and she agreed to marry me (i wonder if she knows what she's let herself in for!!!)..

Well I've been watching them for 25 minutes and they've knocked at 5 doors all of which were NHs. Just before they arrived, an annoying window salesman with a job to do, knocked on all 5 doors. In less than 2mins he'd deduced they were NHs, posted leaflets (went on to earn £2k commission from one them a week later) and carried on down the street trying to support his family. These JWs really must have nothing better to do and their message can't be that important if they've got that much time to waste. And why do they walk soooo slowly.

I know we've emptied the bins on both sides of the street whilst they knocked on those 5 doors, but WHY do they bring their kids with them. They look so miserable and bored. And it's freezing cold, maybe we should ring social services. And what's with the tuxedos? Do they realise how overdressed they look. Oh and have you noticed hundreds of these "False Religion" leaflets in everyones trash?
