a classic derby moment, first in our new stadium and we stuffed man utd 4-1, ruining their title hopes and possibly saving ourselves from relegation.. are man utd on the decline?

they are nowhere near the top in the league this season and were dumped out of europe too.

all we need now is for arsenal to do them in the cup and they finish with nothing !!

John 1:1 and God being "with" God.

the watchtower says regarding john 1:1: "someone who is "with" another person cannot also be that other person" .

this argument is used by them againist the trinity.

while trinitarians believe that there is only one god, they also believe that there are distinct persons within the one god and that each person is god.

I believe "God" is used in 2 senses in John 1:1

God describes a person and a "nature" or make-up.

If we re-write John 1:1 and substitute a couple of words:

"In the beginning was the Women, and the Woman was with Human and the Woman was Human.

"This sentence makes perfect sense. The first occurance of the word "Human" is describing a person. The second occurance of "Human" is describing the "nature" or "fabric" of the woman.

There are 2 persons being described but only 1 nature

Ozzie's Wine of the Month - December

we've missed posting our wine of choice for the past couple of months because.....well......we've stuck to our favoured labels of shiraz.

tonight, however, we've just returned from the apostates restaurant and old ozzie decided to take something new for the meal.

i selected an italian wine this time.

You said that the Valpollicella was a bit "thin" for your taste. Remember that Italian cooking typically consists of a lot of olive oil and vinegar based dishes. When drunk in those conditions and in the company of things like parmesan cheese, Valpollicella really comes into its own as its "thinness" then becomes its strength.

Personally I am currently consuming large amounts of Beaujolais Nouveau fresh from it's release on the 3rd Thursday of November. Although my wife does point out that we're not meant to drink it ALL by the 3rd Friday of November! Don't suppose there's any harm in trying though!

the insertion of the phrase a god, instead of god is just a clear misinterpretation.

That's not the problem, that's the whole point!

Even for unbelievers, IF there was a God, who was powerful enough to create the universe and was an Eternal Being, this would mean that he existed outside of our dimension, was outside of our experience and would appear unscientific to us. He would also be beyond our total comprehension and reason.

help--my daughter is pregnant by a disfellowshipped jw.

he has recently been re-attending meetings and has decided to get reinstated.

he told my daughter that the relationship is off because it would be too difficult to have a relationship between a jw and her(holidays, family etc.

Sounds like a REALLY Christian way to act.

Get someone pregnant and then run off to sort out your relationship with God.

Remind him of his "Family Responsibilities"

When to put up Christmas decorations?
