Reminds me of the last widow from the confederate war who died in 2004 and received the longest pension from that war. Talk about overlapping generations, she met her husband of 81 years old when she was 21 in the 1920,s and produced one son. In 1996 Alabama cut off all payments to widows from that war, but she was reinstated and continued receiving payment till 2004 when she died at 97.

Another heart-worming story
by StephaneLaliberte intoday, i got an email from an old friend with a story told by brother andre ramseyer who attended training at patterson in england.
a service dog regularly attended the meetings with his owner.
when the owner passed away, the dog was given to another blind man.

I have a friend that has a seeing eye dog and I don't think they would just give the dog to someone else. He's been blind for 40 + years and each time he gets a dog he has to go to the training facility and work with the dog for at least 2 months just to see if the dog is compatible with him. I can't see them just giving it to a neighbor, this just doesn't happen. Just like all the other stories, they are all just made up.

I can just "see" tight pants Tony buying up more expensive Scotch for his consumption in his luxury bunker. His own great tribulation will occur when he sobers up.

I hope I live at least 5 more years, so I can point back to Stephen Lett and laugh at his last of last day talk. Of course I thought "this generation" would be their downfall too. Never saw overlapping coming.

This Zoom meeting would have been hilarious if in one of the video frames was Tony Morris and his liquor store purchases showing his love of this worlds finest adult beverages. He's gonna miss them.
