  in one post, i said:one possible reason that both native americans and blacks (then slaves) were treated so badly for so long is that both largely sided with the british in the war of independence.

  i guess countries have some kind of giant collective consciousness that takes a while to change.. .

  While it is interesting to read what I learned in 8th grade history class (it was 1976...the Bi-Centennial...big thing here...) I am trying to understand how this affects present day white/black attitudes?

  Ballistic, it is very important. My husband is only two years older than me, so the likelyhood is that I will live longer. I don't want to face that. I would find things to do and would try to keep on working, however, the stats show that women in N. America are living longer than men.

  I want to grow old together. We are trying to eat right, sleep enough, exercise, etc. Hopefully we won't get cancer, have a heart attack or other fatal illness that takes one of us out way before the other.

  The news today reported red wine has some very important properties that aid in anti-aging....we are doing are part to keep the wine industry afloat to ensure they can continue their research....

  KGB, tell us what you really think.....

  sixofnines friends are only friends as long as he lives and when he dies his friends should then no longer remember him or talk about him or anything after his death because his friends are only a short friendship. Well for me the guy is a creep and his comings are short ones because soon enough we will all be gone and I know that when my time comes and way beyond my friends will miss me and remember me...Too bad his friends will no longer think of him after he is dead....

  And as long as I live I will pray for those like sixofnine and I will pray for the day that God destroys those who attempt to destroy God.............It's a good thing that there is some privacy here because I think that sometimes if I knew where some of these creeps lived I would forget my beliefs just to have some time thumping on some peoples heads here. Thank goodness I don't know so that I do not loose my temper on some assholes face.....

  Jesus would just turn the other cheek.....

  Contrary to the claim made in the now widely-circulated

  e-mail decrying his appointment, Dr. Hager says he does not deny birth-control prescriptions to unmarried women. However, Time magazine reported that "In his private practice, two sources familiar with it say, Hager refuses to prescribe contraceptives to unmarried women."

  The appointment is a done deal, and

  Dr. Hager is now part of this committee (although, perhaps as a result of the controversy raised by this message, he was not appointed to chair the committee). Whether he can be objective remains to be seen.

  Sounds like it is too late for us to complain....

  A lesson for those who are thinking about being home schooled.

  i have recently found out that my highschool diploma is no good.. so, now i'm enrolled in a ged course so i can have that to get into the program.

  the problem is, they can't hold my position, they have to give it to someone else.

  i can reapply next year, but who know's if there will be any positions open then.. this is so humiliating and embarassing, i'm 34 and i find out from someone else my diploma is no good, worse yet, i have to get a ged.

  The long, boring, and pointless story of CZAR - with happy ending!

  here it is, it took me two days to write and therefore nobody should actually be able to read it.. the purpose of writing a story like mine down serves two purposes.

  first, i must find a coherent understanding and explanation of the events that have befallen me.

  second, i hope that my story helps others in some way, to let them know that there is indeed "light at the end of the tunnel.

  All right. I left, burning with disappointment and humiliation. I had tried my best to be a Witness, but it seemed that life and God had other plans. I bounced back and forth to Oklahoma, living drunkenly and promiscuously, screwing up job opportunities and my life.

  Great post Czar. You did not screw up your life...your whole life is in front of you. You are young and can do anything. Thanks for sharing....
