Unless you have a way to prove it is not the real George W Bush, it seems one should err on the side of caution, shouldn't one? You need to check your member directory....George W Bush does happen to be a member. He has even posted. So, you have made negative comments about a member and personally attacked him.

Ah, yes....rich. Well, I am not going to give a precise definition, but I think that a person that makes $200,000 a year should be taxed SUBSTANTIALLY higher in terms of rate than some that makes, say, $20,000.
Bradley, I would guess that my husband and I are taxed SUBSTANTIALLY more than you. Does that make you happy? I would guess your income is more than $20,000....and less than $200,000. I won't disclose ours.

BTW, I don't act ostentatious....I like to keep people guessing. OTOH, I don't believe that hand outs are in any way shape or form the way to build character. Welfare should be for a limited time. When my mother went on welfare I was embarrassed. Taking food stamps to the store was not something to be taken lightly. I never wanted to be in that position. We are doing everything in our power to avoid that.
That the government takes 30% off the top for income tax is obscene. I also pay social security....that I will never see because the government cannot manage my money. That's right, they f*&cked up the management of my money. So for the last 24 years, I have been paying into a system that goes to pay disability benefits for people who have bunions and cannot work.
And you and your democratic asshole friends and cohorts support the looting of that system for *SOCIAL PROGRAMS*. Now, I will have no social security. Thanks democrats. You did a fine job.
The government is bloated. We need a smaller government. Less social programs. Lots less. I don't need the government to teach me how to breast feed.....oh, and a flat tax. That way, the rich all pay the same amount and all the rich pay.....make sense?

I have to disagree that Iraq was becoming a 1st world country 10 years ago. My stepfather was from Iraq....he came here in 1980....because of the regime of Saddam.....the conditions were horrific back then. He fled for his life. He carried over his hateful way towards women, but that is another story.
The country was not a Chicagoesqe place to live. I have first hand knowledge of that.

A CEO does not become the CEO because he/she is stupid. Nor does someone on a board of a company. They usually have experience. And education. They *usually* worked their way up. Whether you or I like it.
When you hear the stories of the guy at your mother's company getting something for *free*, it starts to piss you off. Go get on the board, vote them off and get a new CEO.
Or become rich.
Is rich $100,000 a year? $200,000 a year? Or more?
What if the CEO, who was earning $150,000 for the last 5 years just got the dream job and got the CEO job? He now earns $500,000 plus bonus. Is he *rich*? Should he suddenly owe you and every other *poor* person, including your mother more? Why?

when i first came to this site, i felt enveloped with warmth.
i had finally found a group of people who could understand my continued resentment of the wts, and didn?t think i should just ?move on?.
although there were some strong disagreements and personalities, for the most part people seemed to respect one another.

i don't know if anyone noticed since i'm not one of the premier posters, but i've been gone for several weeks.
unfortunately, the reason is i was in a very bad car accident.
i can't give too many details, because i don't want to be identified, but my car was hit by a semi truck on a major freeway during rush hour.
