i just rented "gangs of new york".
i watched it last night and my daughter watched it this morning, we agree it was the worst thing we have endured in the last two years.
we both thought it was terrible.
Neither my husband nor I like it either. I did not think it was one of the best movies of the year at all....
off on hols to greece tommorow.....sun sea ouzo and.... whatever else i can fit in!!.

Since America is the land of free and the home of the Obese, expect to see lots of *large* people on the streets and beachs of Florida.....the last 30 years have not been kind to our backsides....

Since low carb/high protein diets are very popular, you may ask any restaurant to *hold* the bread/bun/french fries etc. The servers seem comfortable with these and any other seemingly outrageous requests....(my psuedo vegan neighbor does this alot in restaurants....gets away with it, too)
4 way stops are a two lane road, 1 in each direction. When you come to an intersection, rather than a stop light, stop signs are put in. Usually due to lite traffic. You stop and whomever gets there first has dibs on taking off first. Drwtsn was correct; the person on the right has *right of way*....unless they hesitate....then you gun it!

In America, it seens to do with what your parents put on your birth certificate....and how you identify yourself on applications. Sometimes it might help, ie on a college application, so you might as well put down that you are. Sometimes it might not, ie on a mortgage application, so you might not want to. (Study after study shows that if race is asked and offered, not required, people trying to obtain mortgages will be denied if they identify themselves as black)
