I, too, was watching the Today show while reading the morning paper....I was kinda paying attention when *something* happened....

I started channel surfing to see what was happening and all the news shows were showing what Today was...I went to CNBC which had a view from the other side of the Manhattan....

CNBC knew something major happened. They had Ron Ensana (TV financial analyst) go down to see. He ran down to the WTC with camera men and was there when the second plane hit....they had him live on the air. He was in tears.

I was crying....All I could do was cry.

For months, if I saw footage or read a story about it, I cried. I am crying as I type this. Watching people's horrified faces on live TV, while they watched people jump from buildings will be forever burned in my brain. Watching them run in terror, in the ash and soot.....I will never forget

ABC just showed their footage of Charlie Gibson and Diane Sawyer from 9-11-01...they were talking and suddenly they cut to the WTC burning saying it looked like a plane must have hit the buildings and because of flight plans and the way plane routes are, it would be unbelieveable for a plane to get that close.....it had to be a horrible accident....it could not be planned.

They continued to show them talking about it and showing the image of the burning tower; suddenly, Charlie groaned/yelled. "Another plane just hit the other tower....this was not an accident".

FOX News just ran all of their coverage from 9-11-01, the most chilling:

Watching people jump from the buildings...the reporters on the street were yelling that people were jumping to their deaths to escape the flames and death by fire.

How could someone jump from 80 floors up, knowing they were going to die?! I am chilled to my bones thinking those persons last thoughts......

Hamas, your comments are very insensitive and uncalled for. I am disappointed.....

i'm sure this will not come as a shock to most of you...but clinton was an accomplished liar...problem is...bush is getting the blame for something that clearly started under clinton...and early...the recession.

if you had to describe the faithful slave, information disseminating arm of the organization as having a singular, human personality, what would that personality be like?

would it not be that of a nagging mother?

how many "warnings" about apostates, the internet, satan, worldlies, workmates, people met while on vacation, satan, working too much, not putting forth enough effort, the media, slowing down, satan, entertainment, satan satan satan, etc.

Scientologists Seem WORSE than the JWs!

this was in the local paper today, in the gossip section of all things: research into the church of scientology has revealed that some of hollywoods most powerful stars may have signed documents giving up their right to psychiatric care (a major concession in hollywood) and to see relatives.

tom cruise, john travolta, kirstie alley, juliette lewis and lisa marie presley are among the celebrities who could have signed contracts banning the privileges as they moved up the churchs hierarchy, the web site page six reports.

documents relating to the bans have been uncovered by david touretzky, a research professor at carnegie mellon university who has been studying the religion for six years.

I must say, co-worker tried to get me into a new *thing* at work....he was in Mass and I was in Kansas (worked for Lucent)....I talked with him everyday on the phone. He was *unhappy* with the direction of the company then and decided to take a proactive approach to his retirement.....

He would let me in on the secret, but only if I would see the video. He sent me the video. You guessed it. AMWAY.

Pyramid scheme all the way. You sign up more people and the more people you sign up the more money you make and the more he makes. I told him I sold magazines as a kid, up until about age 20 and was not interested.

He was convinced that Amway was going to be his saviour....then again, with Lucent stock at $1.50, he may be right....

NFL week one...

okay noone make fun of me but i am truly *geeked* about my lions this year!

i scored some really and i mean really cheap tix for todays home opener for my son and i. i have always wanted to get to a home opener and for the first time in my life: i did!!!!

we had so much fun and i screamed so much that i'm a bit hoarse...lol!

Rocketman, I tried to make excuses for the Bears....All those games on the road etc.....my husband was sooo depressed that they lost....I don't know what he expected though.

With the McCaskey's refusal to open their wallet and pay for talent, they are getting exactly what they paid for. They are taking advantage of long time Bears fans and they know that the die hard fans will keep coming no matter how bad they are. As they did for decades. Now they have a nice stadium (almost) and they took away all the PSL's, they even slapped those poor souls in the face.

I am glad we are far enough away to not see every game.....he would be a basket case by the end of the season and we would have holes in the walls.

At least Jim Miller has a job, even if he is not playing. He deserves better than the treatment they gave him.

49's beat the Bears...Yay! I hate most Chicago teams although I love Chicago people. Sorry!

'Da Bears....My husband and I went to a bar that has satellite to watch the game....some thoughts:

The Bears committment to mediocrity is in danger....they will have to battle Cincinnati for the worst record in the league and the #1 draft pick.

At least they held the 49's under 50 (Or, the 49's were kind enough to not score again....it already was the worst opening game on record for the Bears).......

Where is hell Jim Miller?!
