Life is in the blood?

That is an interesting observation/question. I would think that when the ovum attaches itself to the wall of the uterus it would began receiving blood but I am not sure. I never thought about it. The blood tests tell you many things

about what is going on in the body, so maybe that's why they say that the life is in the blood. They would not have known any of this back then. I am not really sure when the medical or scientist field discovered all these

things out. Interesting subject for research if a person was so inclined.

I have heard the blood as to what you can take and can't take explained using the Ham sandwich as a guide to show that you can eat all parts of a ham sandwich, just not all of them together. Where as you can take into your

body all fractions of blood, just not at once.

Wow, To me, that is the most absurb explaination I have ever heard. How did their policy justify taking part but not all the parts at once. As a nurse, I transfuse blood frequently,

we usually transfuse, red blood cells, plasma and/or platlets; we never transfuse them all at once. I allowed my mother to bleed to death because she had always said she would not take blood and carried a card to that effect.

I don't know when they came up with this policy but the jw I have met won't take blood in any form.

My thoughts are in line with Tammy's. No way is the number 144,000 a literal number as taught by the WBTS.

yan was a regular pioneer that was sent to tasmania with his 4 boys to serve where the need was greater.

he started an affair with a girl 40 years younger than himself.

we have to love the thinking of the governing body.. someone t-shirts and shorts imply that their wearer is undignified.

I remember when my older super JW sister came home after she married a A super JW. She informed me that I needed to start wearing a girdle. I was 18 and weighed 101 lbs. I objected and told her I didn't need one. Her reply:

all the sisters wear a girdle. It looks better, and your skirts need to be below the knee. That was in 1962. Although I was a JW, I ignored her advice. And yes, I agree with the statement:

I don't see how being clean, presentable and appropriately dressed for your the setting can be undignified, but I do see how making yourself stick out like a sore thumb can.

Fernando says we are "all" dysfunctional

poster fernando makes the statement on another thread that we are all "fallen, imperfect, dysfunctional" .

everybody.. i get the feeling that this is not too far removed in its thinking from the wt statement that apostates are mentally diseased, now i am aware that fernando is perpetuating the late doctrine of original sin, and his words were about all mankind, not just us on jwn.. but do you believe you are cursed by what a fictitious couple did in a fabled garden around 6,000 years ago ?

does that make you imperfect, fallen and dysfunctional ?.

We are all born of the Earth and the natural process is that our bodies return to it when we die.

I am beginning to think that is the case. I know God likes to recycle and I am afarid we may just be recycled.All I can say is: whatever happens, happens. I had no contol over my birth and I don't think I will have any control over what happens after I die. I will just be the best I can be now.

i didn't ask why they don't because their own literature makes them out as horrible frauds!

my question is how do you get a hold of stuff like the "finished mystery" "the divine plan of the ages" and other pertinent false doctrine that has been swept under the rug and locked in the coffers at wt headquarters?

i feel so helpless because if i show my wife info on the net she will just write it off as apostate and altered like we have all been trained to think.

I do know a lady, not JW, that has a lot of the info. In fact, I think she even has a copy of Plan of the Ages. She has told me she will copy it for me if I send one of those littlle plug ins or whatever you call them. I have bought one to send. If I can get the info I will do what I can to pass it on. I cannot believe the info she has obtained.

During a diversity class at the University I made the statement "We all know Jesus wasn't born on Dec 25." The professsor answered "Do we all know that?" I felt dumb. I'm not saying that about Fernando's statement, I'm saying I have made statements I always accepted as true not realizing it was a JW belief that was still in my brain and no one else believed it.

i find myself attracted to certain authors and book series.. which reminds me, i need to download the grapes of wrath.. i love steinbeck's writing of historical fiction.

looking into the history of frontier america is so interesting when written in story form.. i read from most genres.. what's your poison?.
