Is it slander if what a person says is true? Was this man's name on on the list of pedopliles when he abused Candace?

From what I understand the borg has a policy of advising the elders not to report child abuse to the proper authorities or doing anything about it. This placed Candace, and others, at risk for sexual molestation by this pedophile. The borg's policy is against the law and therefore they are held lible for any sexual abuse that took or has taken place. Someone can correct me if I am wrong. What this man did was not only as sin,but a crime. Also, that 2 witness to a crime or sin is stupid. How many pedophiles abuse a child in front of anyone else, unless that other one is also taking part in the abuse. That is a stupid policy. No court or jury is going to go along with that type of reasoning.

Writing an Op-Ed Post for the New York Times
by Band on the Run ini posted on another thread that the ap report in the nyt was disappinting.
my thought is to write to the ombudsman or at least an editor.
the article was a joke when held against standard nyt reporting.. so many issues are raised that are applicable to all religions and wider societal concerns.

Cognitive Dissonance Can Be A Good Thing!
by DT inmany of us have been disheartened by all the comments about the candace conti case from apologists that indicate cognitive dissonance at work.
some of them even seem to show a shocking lack of empathy.. this might be seen as evidence that even the most shocking revelations will have little or no effect on faithful witnesses.. i disagree.
i think this case is having a profound effect.. i think many witnesses have been under the impression that this kind of judgement is impossible.

I think it is still early and it's difficult to assess what the future will bring. It's like the hole in the dam that finally breaks. Some will never leave, but other's faith in the WTS will be shaken.

Looks like they are trying to divert the issue from the dangers of pedoplhiles at KH to the internet. Diversion tactics or theocratic warfare!

From what I have seen, it won't be good. Many doctors refuse to take Medicare patients because of reduced compensation. Also Medicare will probably be reduced because the money will be given to other programs. I receive SS now and do not apologize for it because I have paid into it for years. I still work fulltime and expect to work as long as my body can take it. Three of my siblings who are past 65 are still working. Two of them, ages 72 & 78 are also on SS and like me, have paid into it for years. We will not be able to retire and stop working at 65 like our parents did, unless you have saved a lot of money or have an excellent pension.

Can Satan enter your mind if you stop thinking?
by God_Delusion inas a kid, my brilliant pioneering mother told me that if i stopped thinking, satan and his demons could enter my mind.
am i the only one that was told this useless drivel?

G_D, I heard that too. I wanted to do yoga and meditation but I was afarid. I don't know where the WTS got that info from. They probably just made it up like so many other things they come up with.
