I bought some wrought iron gates to keep my poodle and chiwinnie in the kitchen, which has ceramic tile on the floor, and out of the living room while I am at work. I had no problem keeping them in the kitchen. Then I bought the same type of gate to keep them out of my bedroom. The poodle, Little Brother, did not like that. Two days ago, I awoke to find him under my bed. I just thought I had forgotten to lock the gate. The next night,I made sure to lock the gate but he got into my room anyway.Last night I took a piece of rope and wrapped it around the latch, but he chewed the rope up and unlocked the gate. I was mad at him but could not help laughing and admiring his intelligence and determination to get into my room and sleeping under the bed. I guess I will have to figure out another way to keep him from moving the latch and gettting into my room. I just thought I would share because it was funny and he is a smart dog.

have you noticed there are certain movies you just never get tired of watching?
what's does your list include?
here are some of mine (in no particular order as to favorites):.
I bought and watched "Ferris Buellers Day Off" for the first time a few months ago because I have read so many references to it. I loved it, it was so funny.
My all time favorites are "Godfather' 1&2, "Scent of a Woman" "Ray" (about Ray Charles) and "Shawshank Redemption."
Other favorites include but are not limited to:
Sleepless in Seattle
While you were Sleeping,
Leap Year
What Happens in Vegas- I like the way Cameron Diez opens the Champagne bottle.
Fools Rush In- "The gringos are melting." when the guys parents are on the lake. "Methodist is not a religion." Favorite lines.
You've Got Mail- watched it three times this week.
Groundhog Day-
Home Alone - Watch it every Chrismas Day.
Goodfellas-
Jaws- when I checked out the book from the libary, my husband though I was weird reading a book about a shark attacking people.
Meet the Parents.
Father of the Bride. any movie with Steve Martin.
The Out of Towners.
The Holiday- I like seeing how things are in England. I can't decide which house I like best, I would like to have both. I like the part when the gardener shakes his head to the guy about telling Careron Diez the truth about sleeping with the secretary.
Julie & Julie - Julie was a smart cookie to have blogged and then written about her cooking all of the recipes in Julia Child's "Mastering the Art of French Cooking." I'm sure she made millions with that book.
There are too many movies I watch more than once. I love movies. I printed what you guys posted and will watch those I have not seen. Some not-watched will more that likely become my favorites also.

i've been browsing and reading threads here for a while.
i am never a jw, i am in a relationship with an inactive one, who in fact is in the middle (not knowing what to believe anymore).
i have read some of the threads here about stories of those who have experience with jws and mostly ended up hurt but there also some who made it.. and some of the threads/info/works that you all have done here are really great!.
FingersCrossed and HoneyBucket, welcome to JWN. FC, I agree about taking things slow and easy. JWs are taught to refute other religions and science. It's also hard to accept that all that you have believed all your life is a lie. It takes time to digest it all.As another poster suggesed, ask questions about the beliefs and this may help him see that some things are just not true, no matter how often they are repeated.
it's nearly 2 months now but mrs punk finally left myself (mentally diseased apostate tm) with my 2 non kingdum hell attending boys.. she left when my jw daughter moved out and they moved in together.
i don't think it'll be long before my daughter gets sick of her mum but there you go!!.
i received a call from mrs punk to say: 'i didn't leave you because of the religion!'.
Sorry to hear about the break-up of your family. Can't believe she left the boys but it may turn out for the best,at least they will be away from the borg. Do hope your wife's mental health improves. The borg can disrupt the strongest person's mental health. Keep strong.

I am also addicted to this site and am spending some money on paper and ink. There are some things I just have to have in print. As some poster said, things go so fast on here, sometimes it's difficult to keep up. I check as soon as I get up in the am and them before going to bed.

what makes a perfect purse for you?.
color?
size?interior or exterior pockets?zippered top or sections?long straps or short?material it is made from?
Yes, Lady Lee, post pictures. I love knitted purses. I had two when I was young and I loved them.I think it is nice to learn something new on a regular basis. I am trying to learn Latin.I am using WHEELOCK's LATIN Textbook. I have learned a little. Someone advised me to ask the local Catholic priest for help when I have trouble with some of the words, maybe I will just do that.
Here in the SE, I hear purses called pocketbooks.
