My 67 Year Old Elder Brother Is Depressed Because The Younger Elders Are Taking Over
by minimus inhe was the school overseer but they relieved him of that to allow younger elders the privilege of the job.
now he is depressed and actually shed tears, believing his worth has diminished.

So sorry about your brother being relieved of his position. Unfortunately his worth to the organization has diminished. It is apparent that the borg has no qualms about dismissing or getting rid of people who they no longer need. It is not that much different in the work force but there are laws in place to protect older workers from being discriminated against in the work force. It is a real blow to one's self esteem when we feel we are no longer worth as much as others. Hope he feels better about himself soon. -

Mr Penton, the author, says he has included jws attempt to deal with 1914 and their new light on the Governing Body being Faithful and Discreet Slave in this new edition. He gives credit to Barbara Anderson for her help with research on the book. Supposed to be a great book of jw history.

The elders of the 1980s are now in their 60s and 70s
by truthseeker inhaving just come back from the uk and spoke with some witnesses to find out how my old congregation is doing, i realized i am now the age that my elders were when i was a kid.
and i wonder what the elders who are now in their 60s and 70s are thinking when they look in the mirror and an old face looks back at them.
many of the elders in my old hall are now retired.

I am 71. I left in my late 30s, I have four older sisters still in borg and three brothers who long left before I did. We know our sisters will never wake up and leave. They have too much of their life invested in it.The youngest is 75 and the oldest is 87. Too much life has passed and they cannot face life without borg.Too bad, so sad. It is what it is. -

Jesus is not Michael the Archangel here is why
by paradisebeauty inone of the biggest missunderstanding and unbiblical teaching of the jw's is that jesus is michael the archangel.
here is what proffessor anthony buzzard has to say about this:.

WOW! This is something new to me. Jesus came "into existence at his birth on earth?" Never heard that before. I do remember telling on of my non-jw friends that Jesus was Michael the archangel and they thought I was crazy. Have to research this professor.

"And what happened next was simply unbelievable!"
by Terry ini always sit in the same spot, just outside starbucks in a vestibule area with a table in the air-conditioned space.
i say "always," but not today.. somebody with two laptops and a table filled with business ledgers was in "my" favorite spot!.
so, i took a tiny wooden table inside the coffee shop on a long padded bench next to 3 other identical tables.. as the clickbait banner ads like to say: "and what happened next was simply unbelievable!".

The monthly broadcast as an opportunity to wake up
by paradisebeauty ini was thinking that maybe the monthly broadcasts are a occasion for some jw's to wake up.
before those broadcasts they probably imagined that the gobgoverning y members are some very special peopleand that you see in their behavior and words that they are "chosen".
but now all jw's can see them for who they really are: average men, some full of themselves, some ridiculous, some just normal men with nothing special.

I just recently became aware of JW- Broadcasting while listening to John Cedar's rebuttal of them on youtube. The broadcasts are both fascinating and disgusting. I have been watching them non-stop, when I am not working, for about five days. I cannot believe they tell such lies. I cannot believe how they encourage patents to blackmail their children into getting baptized by not letting those children, who qualify for a drivers license, obtain a drivers license. Their pleas for money are disgusting.
