Thankyou HS,
I added the site that you reccommended to my favorite list. I will go into it tomorrow.
I enjoyed all of the comments. You all say the things that I feel and know, but cannot seem to put together in words. Thanks again.

Hi HS,
Evidence seems to be growing that questions the validity of a post Jerusalem date for the writing of the Revelation. Write me if you wish to know more about this.
Tell me more.

my votes:.
the best: as a group they're relatively color-blind (low to no incidence of racism among them ).. the worst: their stubborn refusal to see the good in anyone but themselves!.
what say you?
Hey Yall,
I think that you all are forgetting about the punishment.
If anyone shows a sign of prejudice it would mean that he hated his brother and also mean that he would infect others. A person like that could not hold a position in the congregation. He would definetly be removed from the congregation if he did not change.
That is why he have to keep it inside and in the dark. He becomes so good at his performance of loving his brother of another race, even inviting them out socially from time to time, working in the same car group and going to certain houses that will not cause an upset with the householder and making sure that he identifies a sister of another race as definetly not my wife or fiance' but as a fellow member in christ. He makes sure to teach his children to only marry a brother or sister of another race in the New world because it would pose so many problems now.
He loves all of his brothers. Yeh, right!

Questions From Readers
Could it be said that the recently updated understanding of the word “generation” at Matthew 24:34 allows for the idea that the end of the system of things could be delayed into the distant future?
That is certainly not the case. On the contrary, the recent improved understanding of this matter should help us to keep in constant expectation of the end. How so?
Well, as The Watchtower of November 1, 1995, explained, Jesus applied the phrase “this generation” to contemporary wicked people. (Matthew 11:7, 16-19; 12:39, 45; 17:14-17; Acts 2:5, 6, 14, 40) It was not, as such, a description of a fixed length of time beginning with a specific date.
In fact, “Questions From Readers” in that same issue of The Watchtower focused on two key points: “A generation of people cannot be viewed as a period having a fixed number of years” and, “The people of a generation live for a relatively brief period.”
We often use “generation” in this way. For example, we might say, ‘The soldiers of Napoléon’s generation knew nothing about airplanes and atom bombs.’ Would we be referring just to soldiers who were born in the very same year as Napoléon was? Would we be referring merely to those French soldiers who died before Napoléon did? Of course not; nor would we by such a use of “generation” be trying to fix a set number of years. We would, though, be referring to a relatively short period, not hundreds of years from Napoléon’s time into the future.
It is similar with our understanding of what Jesus said in his prophecy given on the Mount of Olives. The fulfillment of the different features of that prophecy proves that the end of this system is close. (Matthew 24:32, 33) Remember that according to Revelation 12:9, 10, with the establishment of God’s heavenly Kingdom in 1914, Satan was cast down to the vicinity of the earth. Revelation adds that Satan now has great anger. Why? Because he knows “he has a short period of time.”—Revelation 12:12.
It was thus appropriate that The Watchtower of November 1 carried the subheading “Keep on the Watch!” The following paragraph aptly said: “We do not need to know the exact timing of events. Rather, our focus must be on being watchful, cultivating strong faith, and keeping busy in Jehovah’s service—not on calculating a date.” Then it quoted Jesus’ words: “Keep looking, keep awake, for you do not know when the appointed time is. But what I say to you I say to all, Keep on the watch.”—Mark 13:33, 37.
(Revelation 1:1-10) A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented [it] in signs through him to his slave John, 2 who bore witness to the word God gave and to the witness Jesus Christ gave, even to all the things he saw. 3 Happy is he who reads aloud and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and who observe the things written in it; for the appointed time is near

well, it seems we're back to the same "you're a troll; you're not a troll" thing.
it seems that my posts make too many of you "uncomfortable," you have an "intuition," you "can't put your finger on it," whatever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
i thought this was a place where people can post and be heard.
Larc,
I think I like you. That piece that you did above sounds like me when I go off from time to time. You go Boy!

some of you may remember that when i joined this forum i was having problems at home regarding the un issue.
everything appears to have settled down now and i promised my mum that i wouldnt mention it again to her.
however, looking back at the events around that time, i feel that the circuit overseer not only made it difficult for me, but also for my mother.
Hello Serena,
I agree with JT.
Pureheart
although they frequently point to the apostle paual as the 'original circuit overseer," the wbts has set up a system which is nothing like what paul did.. paul was not a burden to any congregation.
yet, today the cos and dos (at least here in the states) have the following life:.
car is paid for.
A statement was made; we do not have paid preachers. Where did that come from? The ones that live in the Bethel homes live better than we do. Can you imagine not paying any bills, never being too hot, too cold, hungry. Can you imagine living in surroundings that have high security, maid service, meals dished up that you did not have to cook or pay for? Just show up for breakfast, lunch, & dinner and sit down to be served. At the end of the work day go to nice clean room that you did not have to clean. You go to sleep in a nice clean bed that you did not have to launder. The clothes that you wear are cleaned by someone else. On top of all that you recieve an allowance each month and of course your family sends nice allowances to you on a regular bases. I could go on and on but will stop at this point.

well, i did it.. it's official and i'm relieved.. the elders wanted to try talking to me once again, but after awhile it was obvious that they were only interested in changing my thoughts not answering any questions.
so, i just calmly asked if i could disassociate myself.
they acted stunned and they got tears in their eyes, but i told them that i had already grieved and was ready to move on with life.
You have a brave heart. Have been entertaining that action myself.

Hi Troubled,
I read your posts so that I could understand you concern. You are very intellectual and bring out good points. I can see that you are loyal to what you believe in and everyone else whose posts that I read are loyal to what they believe in. Just because our opinions sometimes don't agree with others or thiers with ours doesn't mean that we shut up. Keep talking, keep posting, keep reading, and stick to your guns.
Overall I sense that you like being here, as I do. If you leave you will wonder what is going on. Stay and keep ruffling a few feathers.

since hawkaw and messenger (and others?
) have suspicions about me being some kind of informant or troll, i would like to know how the rest of you feel about my posts?.
if it were up to you, would you want me to continue posting or not?
Keep posting and keep reading!
