I just finished reading a fiction Christian book,Wild Grows The Heather In Devon,Michael Philips.

In the book the educated,evolutionist, political, free thinking father turned Christian. His daughter had a hard time with father giving up his powers to dig in the dirt,pray,and read the bible every day,talk with friends about Jesus. She took her money at age 17 and got out of the house. Told her father he disappointed her! Because the father isolated himself and his family from worldly people. Prayed and waited for Gods answers. Only wanted the daughter to date like minded Christians from his church.

Anyhow, the book was suppose to inspire readers toward the Christian walk but for me I agreed with the daughter.

Most Jehovahs Witnesses give up their chance for a higher education and a good paying job. They stifle their children and most are paranoid even within the group association. They read the magazines and bible. Praying who knows about that one,meals meetings,book studies.

I am turned off with religion. I can not imagine going around saying thank God,why he knows my heart.

It depends if the overseer or elders like you. They will make her life hell if she is one that goes to them a lot.

We all know of people who were dfd years after touching.

Also confession of sins is bibical but not to throw the wicked person out! Not confessing ones sins and living with ones step mother is throw the wicked man out.

She has been taught probably her entire life to confess ones sin to keep the congregation clean.

That is right! She wants to go over her husband head and be dis loyal. She disloyal and it will back fire. Good thing her husband will be there for her. Hard to share a bed with a snake.

Anyhow I never said anything about my exhusband and like a pile if crap in the chair he said nothing. Let me go down and he was the cause of it. In the end thirty years later he has been difellowshipped three times. He never admits to anyyhing but causes harm. Now he is just mentally ill and no one likes him.

Why are you bothering? She just wanting to say something to control you.

Do you really care. Let her confess to the elders like a dumb sh.t then she will see what kind of organizations she is dealing with.

Learn that you have no control over what another person does like your wife. Your not active right? Do you attend?

Who cares the elders will look at her as if she is NUTS. They might discipline her because

please help me out here .. in genesis 2:16 it says " and jehovah god also laid this command upon the man: from every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction.

17 but as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it , for in the day you eat from it ,you will positively die.. ok we get that , but what about this ?.

wouldnt it make more sense to forbid the eating of the tree of life first ?

Tree of life it had healing in it! They could have received their curses then went to the tree of life for some ever lasting healing fruit. Darn them! So much for extra knowledge. God gave them more brains and they did not even try to out smart him! Well that is what happens when they depended on a serpent to do their thinking!

Until I saw the list of volunteer duties: Hand out tubes of hemmroid cream and ass wipers needed.

The society is wanting to get the numbers in so they can make false claims. Kind of funny they need to put a letter out so members will take more it sounds like they have too much bibles and cant dump them.
