Kerry absolutely. I hope the door hits Bush's @ss on the way out.
Won't it be fun to have the Ketchup Heiress as First Lady?
u.s citizens: if you intend to vote in november will you vote for bush or kerry or are you undecided?
please with just one word give your vote for this very small poll: bush, kerry or undecided .
those outside of the u.s.: who are you hoping will become the next u.s. president?
Kerry absolutely. I hope the door hits Bush's @ss on the way out.
Won't it be fun to have the Ketchup Heiress as First Lady?
i am having one of those days.
it all started yesterday when i was picking up some work from a client yesterday nearby.
when i walked in the store, the nora jones cd was playing and i became emotional.
They are young yet, as they mature there's a good chance they may think about things differently. Keep writing them. There is always hope. And with the way things are going with the WTBS, maybe soon their eyes will be open to all the deception and guess whose arms they are going to want to run crying into when they find out the truth about the troof?

reading simon's post about how things used to be i started thinking about how the internet has changed things.
many believe the internet and the freedom of information it contains will be the undoing of the wts.. when i was a jw, there were a few dfings but maybe one a year or even less.
people drifted away but we really didn't pay a lot of attention unless it was a close friend.. in here we see new people coming in all the time.
What year did you leave? Late 70's/Early 80's
How old were you when you left? Started fading late teens/early 20's. Once I got my hands on some exjw stuff a decade later, was well and truly mentally and emotionally free in my early 30's.
Did the internet have anything to do with your decision to leave? No internet back then...
If you left before you got on the internet what reading did you do about the WTS or cults that helped you make your decision? None. I lived in fear of the big A for years and years.
What was the one most important reason that helped you decide to leave (even if the decision was made for you through a DFing).
I would rather be dead than live forever on earth with nothing but JWs around me, and I despised meetings and FS more than anything else in the whole world. So I thought I'd go "worldly" and enjoy whatever few years I had remaining having fun.
Randy Watter's Free Minds Journal and David Reed's Comments from the Friends. THANK YOU RANDY AND DAVID FREE AT LAST
anyone that has read my posts, knows that i am only child and that i have had a strained relationship at best with my mother since my dfing in the early 80's.
now that my mother is getting up in years, what happens if she falls ill and needs to be cared for on a daily basis?
i lie awake at night thinking about this.
You might be suprised at the attitude change as parents start needing their children. It's scary to be old and alone, and shunning then can be seen for what it is: Stupid.
Hope for the best...
((Hugs))
what is the basis for disqualification?
I don't have to prove it. They have to prove that they are, and so far they've done a dismal job of it.
sometimes certain times of your life just return to you, and in a moment you're overwhelmed by the feeling and the mood of that moment so long ago when you felt and thought very differently to the way you do now.
for me that happened when i was walking around in the streets of fortitude valley, near brisbane city.
every now and then i would stop and wait for a traffic light to change, and at one of the lights, the pavement was covered with tiny yellow flowers shed from a tree above my head by the balmy river breeze.
parakeet-related death
LOL!
What a good writer you are. I remember those horrible assemblies too. I actually passed out at Yankee Stadium one August when I was a little kid. No one noticed until someone ran over my foot with a stroller and I didn't wake up.
one rule that i never could understand is that if you were studying with an unbelieving husband, you could associate with him, even as couples, but if a person was considered a "weak" witness, it was best to avoid any association until that person changed......what dumb rule or belief comes to your mind??
?
In grammar school, at assemblies, if you were already standing up for the flag salute and the national anthem came right after, you could remain standing.
If you had to rise specially for the singing of the national anthem, you had to stay seated (can anyone spell E M B A R A S S I N G???
how would a jw put in order of importance, priority, loyalty
would the list on paper be different than that actually practiced?
jehovah
I think those of you who think dubs put Jesus ahead of the organization are mistaken. Jesus actually counts for very little, he's just an archangel after all. They're not afraid of Jesus... but they sure are afraid of the society.
cats may well live with us, but they don't live like us.
i've noticed over the years that how we perceive stuff and how cats process the same info is often so different as to be almost alien.
here are a few i've been thinking about recently (all contributions of more examples gratefully received!
Upchuck Etiquette—Hairballs belong on furniture or carpeting, never on linoleum or tile
Hanging Birdcage—A fun swing
No—Wait until human is not home
Sound of electric can opener—Cat equivalent to Beethoven’s fifth
Hiss—Stop right there or I’ll shred your sneakers
a "worldly" friend of mine, who i've know for over 20 years (he's a couple years older than me), had a heart attack yesterday.
he's ok..."missed a bullet.
" he had an arthroplasty, and is out of icu...doc says he'll probably feel better than he has for years.
I'm not afraid of death, but I am afraid of the process of dying
I think there's more... it makes absolutely no sense to me that this could be all there is. Like, why? And if there isn't more, well then I'll never know that, will I !!
I think believing there's something after helps people cope with their human mortality... it's scary to think of NOTHINGNESS.
Just as long as I don't come back a jw or even worse, the child of one. Once was enough, thanks.
