  before i left for the b.r.c.i.

  conference, i was interviewed by channel 7 for a news story they are doing on religeous recruiting since 9/11.

  steve hassan was also interviewed, and a xjw from the greater boston area.

  Are All Organized Religions Cults?

  even though it has been years since i last stepped into a kingdom hall, it is only recently that i have accepted the idea that the jws are a cult.

  the word cult has such a horrible connotation, i mentally reserved it for the most overtly offensive groups.

  then, last evening, i went to mass with my husband.

  I agree with you on the comments you have made regarding cults,i went to a Christian meeting 2 nights ago they are called Life Spring and apparently they were founded in Brooklyn NY IN THE 50s I think. I decided to go because they gave out this leaflet saying how they are geared towards helping our young who have drug and drink problems.I stayed for 1 hour,i listen to some of the stories that were told by the teenagers themselves and how the had found Jesus,i was a little disturbed by that as i felt they were just putting a plaster over their wounds.I feel that organised religion is not the answer to these kind of problems as i feel that instead of finding God or Jesus the Key is to finding themselves first.Life Spring is part of the Assemblies of God,an offshoot so to speak.I also found out that The new Detective who has just moved into our town is a big Life Spring member.As the evening moved on there was a band playing Christian music and then praise the lord and Amens and the rest, were shouted out,then i made my getaway.

  Holidays

  hi to you all.

  anybody planned their summer holidays yet,if so where are you all going?as for me and my spouse we are off to cornwall for a week,rented a cottage overlooking the harbour.. get this my son and family are going to the isle of white they are witnesses and they go there every year with a load of other witnesses,and a wonderful time was had by all,sorry i am being a bit naughty there,i have 3 grankids 2 of which are jws i would love to take them away with us one day,i might suggest it for next year do you guys think i will be allowed to take them.. in october i will be flying to greece as my lovely daughter lives there and she will be giving birth to her 1st baby in october,i have to go she needs her mummy there.. qca1

  Hi to you all

  i feel sorry for y'all, it's a shame millions are turning away from the bible> make note: you cant not believe in god the father & the messiah if you do not believe in the bible .

  jesus: surely i come quickly> christ time period is different than man eyes... same as jehovah, but know that armageddon will come!

  u2k: changing the world this dec, watch how i help the world, doing everything for jehovah god & the messiah, continue to watch 24/7 and survive till the end of age, and to stand before the son of man- luke 21:36 *crying* .

  i want to direct this question mainly to those who are still jws who post on this board,xjws please feel free to comment.. if the governing body were to call on you all including your children to congregate together each at it's respective kingdom halls,as persecution of gods people has reached it's climax and you have to fight to the death,would you follow that call.

  A few months ago my son went to stay at his big brothers house as he has a son a little younger,my daughter-in-law phoned me and said was it alright that my son went along with them to KH as there was no-one to look after him if he stayed home i said my son has the freedom to chose what he wishes to do,as my son wanted to stay at his brothers he said tes he would go.When my son came home a couple of days later he said Mum i will never go there again to KH it is the most boring place i have ever been too.Not a potential JW in the offing i thought.

  Hi everyone

  I read lots of books on Religion and Spiritualality and have done for many years and when i come across words that make an impression on me i always right them down.I was going through alot of these writings the other day and i found this,could i share it with you all.

  Religion is to serve God by serving His children. Religion has little to do with the conventional idea's of the world. Religion is that which enables God in you to be revealed in your life. Religion is that which increases the tie between you and God and between you and His other children. Religion is that which makes you go out into the world and give service where ever you can,Religion is service and service is Religion.
  All else does not matter. When the physical body falls away the creeds over which human beings have for so long fought and striven are shown to be empty and vain,meaningless and purposeless,for they have not aided the growth of the soul one iota. The growth of the soul is only increased by service,for has you forget the self in the service of others so your own soul grows in stature and in strenght. There have been for so long too many so called Religions,each with a variation of a message. The things they hold most dear are in reality no value. The things for which they have, in the past,caused blood to flow,tortured,maimed and burned do not increase the spirit of man one inch.They have divided mankind into opposite camps;they have created barriers;they have caused needless differences in countries and in families. They have caused disputes;they have done every thing that stands for disruption and disharmony.They have failed to unite the children of God.That is why we care not for buildings and conventional Religion. We are not concerned what a man calls himself. It is what he does that matters.
