FDS Nu Lite is most fun I've had on JWN
by mind blown inuntil the official wts study article is out, all we can do is speculate away, kinda like a good mind bending game.
however, they are going to have a lot of explaining to do....... i was wondering what prompted this change, but after reading this on wiki.... (highlighted is mine) the entire article is damning, making them out to be liars.
i gather they recieved enough letters from the annointed regarding the wts claims perhaps.....?

Do You Think All This New Light Will Rattle Any Of The Witnesses?
by minimus inor do you think the sheeple will just follow the gb's words without question?.

It wouldn't surprise me if half the active JWs think the F&DS is the GB anway. So no change for them.

JW saved by Bovine Blood Product
by cantleave innot sure if this has be posted before, i apologise if it has... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1383586/cows-blood-saves-life-crash-victim-world-procedure.html.
doctors have saved the life of a woman car crash victim with the first ever use of cows blood.. tamara coakley, 33, rejected a life-saving conventional blood transfusion because of her jehovahs witness faith despite being close to death.. but in a worlds first procedure, a synthetic blood substitute made from cow plasma was used to revive the patient just as her heart was failing through severe blood loss.. the success of the procedure could help combat the worldwide blood supply shortage.. mrs coakleys religion permits the use of blood substitutes and doctors in melbourne, australia, flew in ten unites of the haemoglobin- based experimental plasma called hboc-2-1 from the united states where it is being developed by the military.. the cows blood product was painstakingly administered over two days to mrs coakley, who had been in a medically-induced coma following a horrific car collision last october.. after a few close calls, including a bout of pneumonia, the patients haemoglobin levels more than doubled.. mrs coakley was overwhelmed by the lengths doctors went to save her life and respect her personal choices.. more...ultimate health cocktail: scientists devise blend of 13 fruit juices so good for you it could lower heart disease risk .
im glad something positive could come out of it.

So, now JWs don't have to properly bleed animals before eating them? Black pudding (blood sausage) is now permissable?
I see the article states that the religions "allows blood substitutes". How is blood a substitute for blood?

There are three versions:
1) The Public Version: Talks about love and kindness
2) The Study Version: Talks about hate and shunning
3) The Simplified Version: For those who are less intelligent. This is the one the Governing Body use.

That's interesting, I've heard the John Denver story from people in the US, but never the Chris de Burgh one.
In the UK, there is the same story about Annie Lennox.

Brothers playing sports are so aggressive.
by Kaiser inthis summer i started to play football(soccer) with "wordly" people.
it s been so nice and relaxing without flashovers.. contrast for playing with witnesses is huge!
here is couple examples of witnesses games from where i live:.

Brothers used to play sport every week from our hall. There was never any physical fighting that I saw, but the aggressive language, bullying and hatred towards anyone who couldn't play the sport at a high level was shocking. It was so bad, I stopped playing.
Then a study started coming to the meetings. After a few months he was invited to play the sport. Half way through, he said he had to go and got in his car and left.
It turned out he was totally shocked at the attitude of the brothers and said it was the worst set of players he had ever seen - much worse than his workplace team.
He never went to another meeting.
Most of my friends still played and elders got involved and word went around that everyone had to calm down. My friends told me it was pleasant playing after that. For about two weeks. Then the nasty, abusiveness returned.

Service meeting topic: Masturbation
by perfect1 inone of my strangest memories of going to the kh was when a young- maybe 18-20, pimply young man got up to talk about jhvhs view of masturbation during a service meeting.. of course, it was impossible to think about him not masturbating.
i was just hitting puberty and found the whole thing very uncomfortable- i think my dad was even critiquing him (what is that called when elder gives the feedback).
looking back now i can see that to publicly condemn masturbation, especially when a young man is delivering this admonition, is- well- hilarious.

Why wouldn't an elder, MS or pioneer do the talk in the hall I was in?
Oh, yes. It was a sign language congregation.
So it was dumped on me.
It was the most research I had ever done for a talk. Really, in depth. I practised the sign language over and over again.

Wow!
This explains why the CD-ROM goes back to 1970 for the Awake but right back to 1950 for the WatchTower. No JW could ever explain that to me.
