  MORE BAD NEWS FOR ME......

  well i went to the cancer clinic yesterday, where i was told not only do i have endometrial cancer, i also have a rare form of it called clear cell cancer.

  apparently, it's a very aggressive cancer and has a tendancy to spread towards the lymph nodes.. i was absolutely stunned when then told me this one..........yep, i don't smoke, do drugs, i'm not a drunk and i don't screw around and yet i get cancer.. i really would like to try the gerson therapy clinic in california, but it's $4,900.00 us per week........so with the conversion from canadian dollars, it would be about $8,000/week and i'd need to be there for at least 3 weeks.

  anyone have about $25,000 i can borrow?

  we all hope that tomorrow not will see the same dissaster as one year ago.. you are all in my thaughts, if you are jw or exjw, i hope something bad not will happend.. here in sweden was a bigg nocie tonight about what as can happend tomorrow, al quida have some bad things planed they say.. so take care..

  thanks for thinking of us here, we also hope it will be a safe day. A lot of airlines are not flying and a few foreign embassys are closing for the day. I always thought that if death is the ultimate goal for these people why don't we help them out a little. really i am a humanitarian, i just hate, hate.

  Which did you prefer? Watchtower or Awake?

  when i was a jw, i really couldn't stomach the watchtowers.

  the only articles i would read would be for the family study/watchtower study.

  it seemed so archaic and old-people-ish.. i did read the awake from cover to cover almost every time.

  i guess it would have to be the Awake, our sons have cut the pictures out (only) for numerous school projects.

  elders can call you for a judicial meeting and charge you with anything.

  its used as a weapon to punish and hurt people.

  DID you pass "up' er by the contribution box

  this may have been posted b/4, but you are all forgiving, right?.

  while we were studying, we were told there was not a collection plate passed around, just a contribution box.

  as the years went by it seemed like every other thur.

  Seeking advice on official DA

  for a very long time, i have held off on making my departure from the jw's official (though, i am as far removed from them as i can be) because of my mother.

  i did not want her to feel she must shun me when there would be no one to replace my presence in her life.

  this was for practical reasons as well as well as emotional.

  while we were studying, we were told there was not a collection plate passed around, just a contribution box. As the years went by it seemed like every other Thur. they had to mention their funds were low, oh and thanks for the contribution.

  If I had cash I gave now and then, it was never in the form of written paper. then they would know my spirtuality level by how much or how little i gave.

  At times i wanted to stuff it as if it were a suggestion box. anybody have any stories?
