  the one name that I thought was different or should I say biblical was Nehemiah and with a last name of Benjamin. I wonder how he introduces himself ?

  arghhhh!!

  it's cold in jersey today.

  normally, my girth protects me, but as i was having one of my weekend cigars, i noticed that i had to keep switching hands while i warmed the other.....gar!.

  Ash I haven't heard that line since I lived up in International Falls Minn. they will have -21 below Mon morning with a high of -2.

  In Nebraska its 16 above but the wind is a blowing making it 3 above. hope some of these posts warms you up.

  if I were a witness and won: I would pay off our house, invest, send our sons to tech school or college, buy new vehicles and help out an older sister who needs money.

  Now: I would pay off our house, invest, send our sons to tech school or college, buy new vehicles and help out two young moms who are DF and shunned by their families. ( and may still give help to the older ex sis.)

  well, i gave my hope to be future wife crisis of conscience and in search of christian freedom yesterday.

  i told her to take her time and read them with an open mind and to trust her heart.

  did you find that you tended to find yourself alone, without many people to talk to, or were you generally able to chit-chat with the "friends" at the hall?

  for me it was mostly older ladies that would talk to me, and there were times where I sat down just to see who would come over and chit chat.

  other times when someone was sitting by themselves I would wander over and talk to them. like most halls, there are cliques. In the 12 years I WAS there, there were still some ya never talked to.

  Help! I can't get my wife off

  i have been registered here since october 2001, when the un story broke.

  i figured it is time to start my first official thread and introduce myself.. first i would like to thank simon for providing this forum.

  i have enjoyed it immensely for the past year or so and found it both thought provoking, and humerous.. the problem i have, is trying to get my wife of 18 years to visit here.

  hey hows everyone doing... i am a resident of edmonton in canada, and i am only 16 years old, i just left the jw religion.

  i just knew it wasnt in my heart, my parents dont care but i told them that i dont want to go to any meeting or talk to any of our old friends.. they still dont know why..but i fell like it was to much of a currupted situation..i felt like i was taking orders from man, not from god.

  i was not baptized yet, but i was going strong in the ministry as a unbaptized publisher.

  i remember watching people so well back when i was growing up and going to the meetings.

  one thing as i look back on was the ban on the bathroom.. you just did not leave your seat to use the bathroom.

  you went before the meeting started, or after.

  crisis of conscience has just been delivered by mail to my office.

  i wouldn't dare let it be delivered to home in case my wife found out.. i am still "in", so the question is, should i read it?
