wt april 15 2000. no man may see me and live' says god.. further since bible times there has been no evidence of any human having had direct communication with him.
they seem to make believers from time to time in saying they have an open channel.
I've posted this before about them reading their own lit:
from the WT 3/1/79
in this regard, however, it must be observed that this "faithful and discreet slave" was never inspired, never perfect. Those witings by certain members of the "slave" class that came to form the Christian part of God's Word were inspired and infallible, BUT that is NOT TRUE of other writings since.
at the link you can see the latest on the trip to the uk.
i am very busy but will post further comments later.
the trip was a complete success as you will see.. silentlambs.
what a great bunch of people you are !!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks for showing us another chapter in your life.
i am officially retiring my other two personas (mister biggs and mister 8iggs).
quick history: i chose biggs because i am a huge fan of ronald isley (and his brothers).
i initially added 8iggs because i went over my quota for posts one day.
hello Brian Funches from Philly PA
My husband was reading Crisis of Conscience a few months before I was, I had read about 2 chapters when I decided I could no longer go and listen to the hypocrites. Along with the date-line show, we both left at the same time. hope all works out for you guys.
its weird...i was feeling fine all day and then all of a sudden i just feel depressed.. i'm wondering if i made a mistake divorcing my wife.
i know i made a right decision leaving the wt, but just wonder if i should have stuck it out with her.
not that she wanted me or anything, thats the main reason why i left.
time will heal
she could have some similiar feelings.
If you have a sad thought try to replace it with a good one.
take care, because we care.
who was your favorite witness?.
mine was john richards.
when i got to know him, he was an old man, and our theocratic ministry school servant.
Her name was Linda, she was the best example for a true witness. she'd be there for anybody, one time I had to go to the hospital for a biopsy and she was at my house 5:30 AM to watch my boys, she brought her lunch and was ready to stay as long as possible. Her husband is a nonbeliever, but a great guy, they moved away this year and I fell away. The elders had called her and asked if she would talk to me when I wrote my DA letter, everything she said was sorta preprogrammed. you could say she was sister YES.
one of the things the congregation secretary has to do is tabulate field service reports.
i always loved it when i would get a report that had an enormous amount of hours and placements.,especially if the person never was seen in the ministry.
i knew a lot of "phantom pioneers".
I did not go in service for about a whole year, yet I reported a few hours. I would talk to my sons and counted that time. Also they never said anything about how little I put in or if I had a good month.
say it ain't so.
you'd be lying.
) i knew it'd happen eventually though: witnesses set up a table here at my university.
ephanyminitas, you could have some pamphlets made up to go after the people who just picked up something from their table. Or set up your own table with lit about mind control.
Jeff you are soooooo good.!!

i am a much happier person now that i've excepted the fact that i will die one day.

for 23 years i've been brought up in the jehovahs witness religion, and recently i found myself on the outside looking in, not the inside desperately seeking the answer and trying to please god, feeling guilty when i missed meetings etc...but no more.
it's taken a while to de-program myself in thier way of thinking.
hi Pink and welcome
the first thing my mother said to me is "your going to be much happier"
It's a process that takes time, I still find myself from time to time thinking the old way.
