Perhaps someone should "share" some of the JW literature with the TV station manager -- Particularly some of the fine artwork depicting the destruction of the UN building and the US Capitol building. Maybe the station wouldn't want to give Public Service Announcements to a cult which advocated terrorism.

Apostate Overseer's visit

this is a habit i have tried to start but have had great difficulties with.
sometimes i am too tired at night and fall asleep.

Brother Apostate Overseer, I have sought medical help regarding this problem but the advice my doctor gives is in direct conflict with the Apostate Organization's teachings. My doctor told me that it is not unusual for a married man in his 40's to not have the "habit." In fact this is healthy and normal part of growing up.

Brother AO, I am no longer a youth and therefore am struggling with the problem of self-abuse. This is a habit I have tried to start but have had great difficulties with. Sometimes I am too tired at night and fall asleep. Also since I have gotten older I no longer wear tight pants and I rarely eat pizza before bedtime. When I get sexually aroused my wife insists that I have sex with her instead of engaging in self abuse. I have tried talking about this with an immature teenage brother but I am very discouraged. Can you offer any help?

My favorite book was "Millons Now Living Will Never Die." I was so excited to learn that Abraham, Issac and Jacob were to be ressurected in 1925.
My least favorite book was "Your Will Be Done on Earth." I was disappointed to learn that Kaiser Wilhelm II was really the "King of the North" spoken of in Daniel's prophecy. I believe that this is an unfair characterization of a poor man who was born with an unfortunate birth defect. I hope the WT Society will reconsider this interpretation and perhaps change its position on the "King of the North." -

by larc ineducation was strongly discouraged among the witnesses.
i am curious as to how many of you went on for further education and in what fields.
i will go ahead and list the ones i already know.. larc - advanced degrees in organizational psychology.

Pioneered straight out of high school. When I left the false I decided to get educated. Graduated with Bachelors degree in Economics on 5-17-85 (or for you non-Americans 17.5.85).

i think i read (was it here) that the doors of hq got locked up so outsiders could not come in..... did they really get involved" or was it enuff to make them look good?.

They opened up WT publications to some of the fine illustrations of Armageddon and said, "See this Sept 11 thing isn't so bad, you worldlings will be suffering alot more as soon as 1914, er 1925, er 1975 arrives and Jehovah fullfills all our prayers by slaughtering you."

A New Breed Of JW Emerging?
by Englishman inis there a new breed of jw emerging, i wonder?.
i know that there are lots of real brainwashed dubs around who see demons behind every car boot sale item and who scuttle off to the elders with every bit of tittle-tattle imaginable, but, i think that there is a new type of dub who quietly does just as he / she pleases.. this is what i think: many of the long-serving jw's who have seen the 1975 failure and the 1914 generation change are now approaching old age with something of a jaundiced eye, and are choosing to do their own thing in their remaining years.
in conversations i am picking up it seems that the elders are being regarded somewhat derisively by many jw's.

My brother is an elder. We rarely discuss dub-dom but sometimes he will make an unprovoked comment. A couple of years ago he told me that things weren't like they used be -- the "friends" just didn't pay much attention to counsel from the elders anymore.
