  Parallel universes?

  interesting hozison programme on bbc2 last week about how new evidence is coming out that there may be parallel universes that are "needed " to explain our own.. once prominent physicist belives our universe "borrows" gravity from another universe.. but what really is happeing in physics , can it really tell us the truth about our universe?.

  it seems that a lot of physics is philosophy.you think of an idea that could explain phenonoma and then see if you can make it work with mathamatics.. but as more and more complex theories are coming forward and are used to explain how the universe works it seems that any grasp on the truth of the matter is getting further and further away.when you start invocking parallel universes to explain things where do you stop?.

  it seems that at least for now the universe is unexplainable.even without parellel universes you still cannot explain the origin of the universe , were it came from or why it is here.which ever way you go you get to a point in which you can never test or measure to see if you are right.. if there are parallel universes then do these need other universes to explain them?.

  Holy Spirit

  even though both unitarians and trinitarians confess the holy spirit.

  neither can agree on the fundamental question of who their father is!.

  is he jesus, is he jehovah, or even jaheshua miscahjah.is he god the son or whatever.

  Is he Jesus, is he Jehovah, or even Jaheshua Miscahjah.Is he God the Son or whatever. What does the Spirit say,Can the Spirit speak with a "forked tongue"?

  This is strange considering the closeness confessed by those who have "the father "
  Surely this basic understanding should not be in doubt. So why the confusion?

  Interesting!!

  I think this account highlights why its foolish to consider these acounts as factual.
  The Israelites were great story tellers, often taking stories from other sources and adding a moral to them to teach a lesson.
  Soddom and Gommorah is another one.

  I Don't Sympathise With Suicides

  let me explain.. firstly i have seen any number of so-called attempted suicides.

  i've walked past an old girl friends house, seen her watching tv through the window, by the time i'm knocking on the door she's told me that she had her head in the gas oven and my knock stopped her.. my mother in law walks into the sea for a pastime.

  every time she can't get her own way she walks in up to her knees and waits for someone to see her.

  How we treat victims of abuse

  i hope that they will be treated with respect and shown some consideration!.

  if someone doesn't believe their story then i don't believe they should cast doubt on the person or attack them as i doubt they have all the facts.. i am extremely dissappointed to think that someone could come to the forum for support and be shot down like this.

  I agree with your post and we all need support.

  We have all left a judgemental and uncaring organisation. Many are hurting. Surely we can all show some fellow feeling, even if it is at the risk of it being missplaced.

  Looks like it to me quote:......" So when someone enters a chat room and says that they are going to top themself, and then appears next day and robustly denounces those who doubted their sincerity - and posts remarkably lucidly too - I have very strong doubts as to that person needing all that cyber-loving.

  IMO, this is mega attention seeking. If a person tells me quite clearly that he is going to do it I'll tell him to do it.
