  WT declares JWs are not "Great Crowd"

  huh?.

  okay, the thread title was a stretch, but not by much.. after these things i saw, and, look!

  a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the lamb..." revelation 7:9. sooo..... every time the wts releases it's annual report, it is declaring the total number of jehovah's witnesses, a crowd that can most certainly be numbered, as not being the "great crowd" mentioned at revelation 7:9

  Book recomend: Oranges are not the only fruit

  i have just finished this book and cannot recomend it enough!

  for most of the book i was very suspisous that the author had been secretly stalking me my whole life.. it charts the story of "jess" who is brought up in a cult like religon, its not jw's but it could be, it sounds almost the same.

  its a warm hearted yet incredible story of how her strong charater enabled her to break free from the cult and find out who she really was.. theres some truly excellent lines in it, my favorite being from the mad cult devote mother "you don't need an airing cupboard when youv'e got jesus!

  Have the GB wised up to the dangers of e readers yet?

  just trying out the new kindle myself and i realised that with its password protected facility, it would be possible to download all manner of forbidden books and magazines without the elders or jw parents knowing.. .

  i'm surprised there hasn't been dire warnings issued about this yet?

  or have the gb yet to hear about e readers?.

  Do you think theres such a thing as a "normal person"

  i was trying to think of all the many many people i've ever met and conculded that none of them could be termed "normal".

  some of them might have seemed normal to start with but on further inspection most definatly not!.

  in answer to the obvious question no i do not think i'm normal neither, i don't think i would want to be either.

  yesterday i saw the river pagenet and it was stunning!

  Have you lost your sense of "happy ever after"?

  i'm glad to be out but i've since had the sensation that the "happy ever after" ending i always thought would come will not come.

  there will be no happy ending, just an oridary life.

  thats quite a werid sensation to contemplate... what do you think?.

  no praying before meals?

  i was recently in the company of a jw.

  this is a long time devout jw and i served them a meal.

  i was surprised by their reaction, they simply sat down, grabbed a fork and began shoveling???

  Ive been out for a while, has praying before meals become redundant?

  how do you manage to convice them that your genuine?

  this is an extract from a brisbane times article regarding princes current tour of australia .

  .. seems prince is finding his feet as the uber-dub these days.

  even freedom of religion is conditional it seems, ie; only for jw's.

  sounds to me like a classic case of a jw forcing their beliefs on everyone else. and he can sing songs about blow jobs but gets offended if anyone swears around him?? the word that springs to mind is hypocrite! perfect jw then!

  i was walking through a busy part of london this morning at 8am, the mainstreets were full of commuters and workers on their way to begin their day.

  of course out in full force were the cheaply dressed jw young pioneers.

  all sporting battered cases and a wodge of mags in hand.

  i was walking through a busy part of london this morning at 8am, the mainstreets were full of commuters and workers on their way to begin their day. of course out in full force were the cheaply dressed jw young pioneers. all sporting battered cases and a wodge of mags in hand. trouble is i never saw any of them do any wittnessing to anyone! the people passing them were all nationalites and types. yet the jw's just drifted up and down the busy street lanquidly. occasionaly i thought one of them had got up the courage to speak to one of the throng being disgorged from the rail station. yet they would drop out of their 'bee line' before even getting close to them?i doubt any of them managed to talk to anyone or place any mags. but im sure that they all counted their hours . what happened to the zealous pioneers that used to grab people out of the station? how the mighty have fallen! you wonder why they even bother? still im sure as soon as starbucks opened they moved quickly enough to get in there!
