i was shocked ( though i probably shouldn't have been ) when reading the new elders manual concerning whether elders have to confess up about former sins from a few years earlier.

notice this on pg.

38 , paragraph 19 : it states, " if it comes to light or an appointed brother confesses that he has committed a disfellowshipping offense years in the past : the body of elders may determine he can continue to serve if the following is true : the immorality or other serious wrongdoing occured more than a few years ago, and he is genuinely repentant, recognizing that he should have come forward immediately when he sinned.

not dealing with persnl sins but have you ever seen gb fess up to anything? no! the closest ive seen was when it mentioned some prominent members had done some things which i thought was ewart chitty but i have not once seen an article that says we the "gb" made a mistake! untile i see that i dont fess to nothin they make all the articles so to constantly blame rank and file for jumping gun or believing 1975 on there own is hogwash! i think all wtnss should employ theocratic warfar " which is lying" we learn from the best those taking lead the morally inept hypocrites

just my thoughts on the orgs consistent beating of the proverbial drum of satan the devil - first off i have never once met a person who has had such an encounter with devil or any of his demon cohorts and stories told me by word of mouth the person who said saw such things always had some mental issue.

if this devil where in fact real to reveal himself to anyone would prove there is a god for if there is evil there is good and whatever temp suffering this devil could conjure up would be worth enduring because one would know beyond a shadow of a doubt there is a god!

i dont believe anyone in there right mind would try to belittle the atrocities pain and anguish caused by slavery but i believe it aptly strikes a nerve in comparison to life of wtnss not taking anything away from literal slaves but the gb for all intent and purposes "own" you! tell how to live what to say what toys kids play with whats permitted in your own bed room your education choices dec on your employment what is and is not counted as serv to god? they do more than kill you in the org you can cease to exist forever this life time and the next! the class system pubs eld pion aux what rubish!you are encourged to not set anything up in this system starting business owning land cant vote sound familiar?enc not to marry?how often have you seen the master in the field with you? im not talking these all expense paid assembly drop in to give a talk no in hot sun fieldserv with flock actually slaving? we are the domestics right?hmmmmm

Am I seeing my JW life and exit in context?

while visiting with a workmate the other day i got to thinking.

my friend has had the lowest of morals of anyone ive ever met.

she was an illegal drug manufacturer for 20 yrs, jailed 3 times, junkie for 17 years, has been a topless waitress, made porno movies and prostituted herself.

does the end justify the means? at what cost does org get its results? hitler tried same thing an elite race of healthy well behaved ppl but no one in there right mind would agree with his methods. and i find mostly with the org its just for show or on outside inside most wtnss they have extreme mental emotional problems probably more unstable than your friend and as opposed to dealing with reality and being a productive member of society they just become apart of a big alof tax dodging conglomarate its ok if thats ones choice but this org takes the minds of many young and holds them captive to me thats more deplorable than anything you mentioned your friend has done

Help! I'm having serious thoughts about going back

hello old friends, i've been thinking about going back and need you all to give me your thoughts on it.. the last year has been a horribe one for me, in the span of less than a year the following things have happened to me:.

lost my mom to cancergot hit by a carhad a professional set back that will cost over 600k to resolveended a three and a half year relationshipit just feels like every time i think things are going to get better something else hits me and knocks me down, a small part of me wonders wether i brought all these things on myself because i left the organization (yes i know how silly that sounds) and i have given serious thought about going back.

i need you guys to talk me out of it!.

there have been studies that revealed some people who were in prison for years after getting out would do something commit a crime to go back, sounds crazy but some get acustomed to the regimen the control and feel secure! when you go back some may welcome and dep on how you left df'd or whatever the scorn and shame will come so compounding your current dif you will have to go out in service relentlessly to try and prove your devotion to god? no silly to them then being reprogramed i mean what physically stopped all these so called friends from being there in youre time of need? you need friends whos friendship love and loyalty is not bound by the whims of a few men in brooklyn

whatever happened to this long lost activity?

i can remember a time when you couldn't make it from the convention doors to your car without being approached by at least one glassy-eyed apostate holding a sign or thrusting a homemade tract under your nose.

dont think it ever worked for me was taught to avoid apostates like the plague besides they always seemed so angry lol although i know now were such anger comes from but look how satan did it no big sign or broadcast just subtle question to get one to think and do what they naturally wanted to do not to compare apostates to satan but his technique was brilliant and you are not fighting against god so the battle can be won

im not exactly sure when this change came in, but when i was a kid i remember it either being.

"____ has been disfellowshipped or dissasociated".

if someone has been announced to the congregation as no longer a jw then they are the same as any other non-jw.

i find it interesting obsessive control kick they have so no one in org can talk to you and you cant speak with anyone in org oh and will keep tabs on you to try and get you to jump thru hoops and turn tricks for to get back in later if your interested man nobody should have that type of power if i were df d i would still talk to ppl in org! if you cant tell im d'fd i must be manifesting true chrstian qualities by fruits jc said you will be identified! not three incompetent men in a back room with an ego trip if everyone utilized there power of free will and civil rights and df'd still talked to family and friends you usurp this supposed power they feel they have they only have the authority you give them!

its good to put things in perspective i find when you grow up in org the gb kinda have some mystic air to them but actually are probably more like frumpy old men who just hopes the gravy train doesnt stop anytime soon i have found so called apostates to be actually more civil and emotionally balanced than most wtnss just thought it was odd usually a guilty party or person who is intentionally screwing ppl will put in place a means to protect themselves although they have done than with an iron clad legal team!
