Recycled articles updated. They have never highlighted Jesus and apparently, do not intend too. All the hype about new song, assembly talks, memorial talk, mean diddly to them (GB). They have taken over Jesus spot as second in command and placed the GB as the spokesmen for Yahweh/Jehovah. They are placing themselves, once again, as prophets- but still don't get it right. The holy spirit works not on them since they threw the holy spirit out. -

1/25 WT: Oral and Anal sex are a go - if she's ok with it
by neat blue dog inhe will not pressure her to engage in sexual acts that make her feel uncomfortable, that are demeaning, or that bother her conscience..... the bible does not provide details as to what sexual practices between a husband and a wife should be considered clean or unclean.
a christian couple must make decisions that reflect their resolve to honor jehovah, to please each other, and to maintain a clean conscience.
generally speaking, a couple would not discuss with others this intimate aspect of their marriage..

Guess asking all those questions in a committee meeting of a sexual encounter by pubs has made them "interested" in what was something akin to "new" to them and wondered hum! Then again, why not make this "legal" so we can do it too! So its "her" decision, what does that say?

Serious sinner?
by Gorb inwith the statement in the study watchtower this sunday, that stop serving jehovah is a serious sin, the following:.
- can i conclude now, that we, (i, wife and 2 children), since 2008 pomo and no longer active in any religious activity, are serious sinners for jehovahs witnesses?.
writing this in a watchtower, a statement like that, could have big implications.. it makes me so sad.

I am sure that everyone of a certain age can remember 1980-81 when Ray Franz and whole congregations in New York were df'd? Why? Independent thinking. Finding out dates were off, carrying on after book study to study the bible themselves... and on and on.. there was more to the story but we all know the outcome - Crisis of Conscience.
The org is so scared of anyone touting the independent thinking line they disparage anyone who dares to do it. If you do, you do not have Jehovahs holy spirit! You are an apostate! You are no longer a sister or brother!! SIde glances! Rumors!
They lost the "holy spirit" when they dropped him from the baptism question - begs to ask- how did any of the mags and books get written, if not from the help of that spirit? They can spout obey all they want - they are not to judge anyone, only One - or two can do that.

Anyone notice the number of new halls required for African countries. Seems the numbers given show large growth numbers over there. That means more calls for money to build those halls.

For the life of me, I kept records way back when we were told as the anointed numbers decreased, the GT was imminent. We lived by that statement, yet watched as numbers grew, thinking "oh well" there must be a reason. The reason they gave was that some were disloyal and had to be replaced. The main thing it did was give folks hope that the system was soooo close. Now Jackson makes jokes, and the audience laughs. What fools they made of us who gave it all for these jerks.

What evidence is there for a biblical jesus?
by Touchofgrey inis there any independently verified evidence that a miracle worker called jesus existed and did the things that the bible said he did?.
the four gospels were written by unknown authors many decades after the so called events, so can't be considered as eyewitness accounts.
i think that there may have been a apocalyptic preacher who was executed by the romans and the story evolved from their.

Josephus (Jewish historian), Tacitus (Roman historian), Pliny the Younger (Roman politician), Phlegon (freed slave who wrote histories), Lucian (Greek satirist), Celsus (Roman philosopher), Mara Bar Serapion (prisoner awaiting execution), Suetonius, and Thallus.
We have other sources too which come after the first 150 years of his death, making his existence so well attested that it cannot be denied.
James F. Mcgrath is an Associate Professor of Religion and Clarence L. Goodwin Chair of New Testament Language and Literature at Butler University. As he says on his blog in response to the abundance of sources:
“To suggest that these various authors and sources independently invented a historical Jesus, or that despite their divergent views they conspired together to do so, is (to put it charitably) less plausible than the explanation of this state of affairs accepted by all scholars and historians teaching at accredited institutions.”
· Mendell also notes that Tacitus was concerned for maintaining his integrity as a historian.
In the Annals, the work with the paragraph on Jesus, Mendell cites 30 instances where Tacitus uses specific phrases “to substantiate a statement or to present a statement for which he does not care to vouch” [ibid., 205].Mendell also notes that “In Books 11-16 of the Annals (the Jesus cite is in 15) Tacitus “concerns himself with the evidence and source references to a greater extent than in the earlier books.” He relies on other historians, a bronze inscription (11.14), reports or memoirs (15.16), personal testimonies (15.73), and physical evidence (15.42).
There are indications of searches for first-hand (15.41) and written (12.67, 13.17) evidence [Mende.Tac, 207]. Thus, the cite on Jesus comes in the middle of one of Tacitus’ most carefully-documented works. reporting a conspiracy of Piso to assassinate Nero, Tacitus acknowledges the difficulty of accurate knowledge of such conspiracies, indicates where his knowledge is uncertain, and does not use even one of Pliny’s quotes as positive evidence because he considers it to be “wholly absurd” (15.53) [ibid, 209].n short, Tacitus was a very careful historian – he would certainly not trust a source that he held in such disdain as he did Christians, and he would carefully check material that came to him, even from his friends.nally, let us add that there was no need for Tacitus to get his information from Pliny – he had plenty of Christians in his own province of Asia where he was governor, if not more Christians than Pliny, and he was probably aware of Trajan’s edict concerning Christians, which we will discuss below.
Tacitus had no motive to investigate his information on Christ. He may have accepted information from Christians uncritically.

People who work free for the cult for many years

In Canada, IF they ever worked and paid into CPP they can start to get this at age 60 and if a disability can get the disability pension. At age 65 they get an old age pension - everyone.
What has been going on in "bethel" is a sorry, we don not need you anymore (medical issues, age, cutting costs) with the volunteers (for years) who have signed a poverty clause when they volunteered, not to expect any funds when they leave, after putting thousands of hours working in a closed environment.
In the big purge back about 12 years ago 2200 were put out to pasture, with only the job experience they had acquired while at bethel. Yes, some received courses, so they would be ok, but mostly had to go back to congregations without furniture, apartment, medical, or a job, etc. At that point, the congregations who would be struggling too, had another issue to contend with. This cleansing takes place regularly when they can get new, strong blood in
