  recently i received an e-mail from someone very close to me.

  the e-mail was so vile, i stopped reading and called a good friend who is a jw.

  the jw knows the writer very well.

  TP you said when in sincerity you post your type of thread on this forum, you can expect a lot of garbage that you have to overlook

  We have all sincerely answered this persons questions I see no garbage here except for the fact that you love being superstitious and jumping to the demons conclusion instead of being calm and looking into mental and physical causes first.

  There nothing wrong with you offering your so called demon knowledge to this person but your rudeness when referring to the rest of us is inexcusable!!

  If you will click on the paper icon in Thomas Pools profile you will see threads started by him and see he has quite an obsession with demons.

  I don't expect everyone to agree that demons don't exist but I believe these other causes should be explored first.

  I'm with Nathan on this.

  This person is mentaly and emotionally unstable.They need therapy and medication.
  If you were close to this person in the past you already know if they are evil or not.
  But mental illness can make a person say and do evil things to themselves or others.

  Keep the letter just in case you need it as evidence at some point.
  If you know any family related to this person I would consider sending a copy to them and ask them to get this person some help.
  It's not demons so you don't have to be afraid of the letter.

  Amazing baptismal story-tell us yours

  if you have an unusual baptismal/ dedication story, tell us.. best story wins a non-prize.. heres mine.. well...when i was about all of 16 years old my father was a ministerial servant and he told us one evening that his name had.

  come up in connection with being made an elderman, he was very.

  happy, after all he was a man who loved power and authority.. a couple of weeks later he was down in the dumps, appeared some.

  Baptism story #1
  When I was 13 I was head over heals in love with my 17 year old boyfriend (At least I thought it was love) anyway he told me that out he was getting baptized at the next circuit assembly. Mom had been pressuring me to take the plunge and when I found this out it seemed perfect that I should get baptized with him then we would have these wonderful special memories after we were married to reminisce on and to tell to others.
  LOL, I was such a romantic.

  BTW I broke up with him when I was 15. He was messing around with another girl when I was gone for a week visiting my best friend.
  So now my baptism memories aren’t so warm and fuzzy as I had planned.
  I found out what real love is the next year. I’ve been married to this one every since.

  Story #2

  At the last district assembly we attended there was a fiasco regarding the baptismal pool.
  During the morning secession I noticed brothers in the pool with buckets and an assembly line on the floor.
  They were draining the pool with buckets! When I looked closer there was gross stuff floating in the water!
  Baptism was scheduled right before lunch and during the announcements we were informed that the baptisms would be done that evening after the assembly but the baptism talk would be done on schedule. I think they said due to poor water quality.
  It was a very anti climatic talk(as usual) this time with a dead end .
  We found out at lunch that a brother used the wrong kind of glue to attach the carpet that went on the steps that went into the pool and it reacted with the chemicals in the pool and disintegrated the carpet .I bet that poor guy got chewed out.

  Heard that the baptism talk was given at one assembly but there was no one getting baptized.
  I guess they thought, “The show must go on”!!!!

  Beat Children-Celebrate Christmas 12-15 WT

  This article about disciplining children made me feel sick.

  No it doesn’t use the word beat but it does encourage corporal punishment or the “rod” as one form discipline to use on your children.
  The article says something like all children have the tendency to seek pleasure and then goes on to discus discipline and how it should be used to control and get rid of these pesky natural traits that not only children have but all normal human beings!

  Witness parents and their Bible studies are under a lot of peer pressure from those in the cong and from what they read in the literature that they are told is from Jehovah God.

  Both my parents and my husbands went overboard because of this kind of advice.

  We were not allowed to be children we were robots that were to do exactly what they said or else!
  The family name or its reputation in the cong was on the line and we were to be perfect examples.
  I was under this same pressure when I had my children. I am ashamed that they influenced me to be too rough on them.

  This info will be used in the same way it always has. If a six-month-old baby makes noise in a meeting doing what babies do naturally you spank, swat, etc. whatever it takes to shut them up.

  Stricter advice comes from the KM on a regular basis.

  They tell you not to take the child to the back when it makes noise unless you make it worse in the back (spankings-and threats) than at the seat where they belong or they will make a habit out of it and you will miss the spiritual food!
  Truly disgusting and sad!

  I was shocked at the men that would come on to a pregnant woman when I was pregnant both times but it was a nice mood lifter since I felt so unatractive during the last couple of months.

  Ran across a couple of OLD perverts at the kingdom hall too.YUCK!!!

  As far as sex during prgnancy it was great until the last two months.
  I had to wait the full six weeks after the birth of our first one.
  That kid almost killed me!
  But the second one was a breeze and I wanted to within a week but held off for one more just to be safe.
  When I went back for my post partum I felt like a teenager confessing to my daddy that I was having sex.It was funny.
  You know, they give you orders before you leave the hospital and all.

  I can't believe I talking about this but those huge breast spewing milk during sex and showers was a surprise too!!

  I gotta go before I say something else.

  This was intended to be humorous but I know plenty of elders who would read this and think this fits them to a T and Jem probably does too.

  LOL, This cracks me up----"Education must be beyond Ph.D. requirements,"

  Let me guess, the PHD education is symbolic and comes from reading the Watchtower and Awake magazines.

  Down here the elders do good to have graduated from high school.
  Some only made it through the 8th grade if that.
