Sorry, folks.....
I don't know what's going on, but I had an entire post somewhere. I saw it once after I posted it, but none of it was spaced with the paragraphs I typed it in.
I can't deal with the new changes AT ALL...
i have been to a couple of funerals recently (both of relatives who've never been jw's; however married to jw spouses) and have been appalled, absolutely appalled at how the wishes of the deceased have been ignored and horned in on by jw drivel/dogma.. .
the most recent funeral was for a relative who didn't even believe in god (was never a jw), but the jw spiel droned on for so long that the deceased's own "worldly" siblings were glancing at their watches in disbelief.
one of the siblings had a speech at the funeral ceremony, and was very touching and heartfelt in talking about the deceased's life, but then a jw relative had a speaking part too, and lost everyone from that point on.

I just think it is WRONG. I do NOT want a single mention of "JW", "resurrection hope", "what kind of name have you made for yourself?", or "Razormind did not live her life as one of JW's, but was taught at an early age of what Jehovah has in store for his faithful Ones"---NONE OF IT!!!
I know I'll be dead and all, but it looks like there's something one could do, while still alive, about how their funeral should be handled.
Or am I just crazy? Sorry, some of the incidents have just pissed me off.
in doing my income taxes, i noticed that the fed.
government is getting more generous with tax credits for education.. even without itemizing deductions, you can still reduce your tax liability significantly by going to college.. the hope credit can give you $1500 bucks and some state income taxes may also contribute to this worthy cause.. i know it's expensive - and the tax credits only pay a little - but with the internet in place, going to college has never been.
easier or more convenient.
I keep teetering on the brink of actually going, but I just can't get up the nerve.
In addition, I STILL don't know what I want to go for.
I do know that I need to do SOMETHING....
what are the education requirements?
i am just curious.
i'd love to get more info, especially from someone who's actually done this.
Has anyone here ever been one? Or know somebody who is/has?

Thanks in advance.
does anyone know where i can find the words to any current kingdom songs?
it has been several years since i have been df'd and i forgot what the songs were like.
i have read several posts by ex jws that state how dreary the songs were.
I could sing some now for you, if you'd like, since I know some of them by heart (LOL!)
All together now...
"We must have the faith that the Bible does provide,
We must build such faith if God's war we would survive,
(forgot this part)...faith accompanied by works,
This kind of faith preserves our souls (forgot this part)!!!"
Sad and scary, I know.
i always loved little animals, and i always will have one.
i noticed that most families do have pets.
for people living alone, a pet is a good companion.
Ascot,
Loved that website!!! I especially loved "Burma" and that cute Syrian hamster. It will definitely become a favorite.
Here is one about one cat (incidentally, one of my favorite coat colors)...

Yep.
I LOVE cats. My husband does too. I'm most partial to black ones, calicos, and crazily patched tortoiseshells. I've always wanted to live in the country, in the middle of nowhere, and have about a zillion cats. I'd have clean living spaces, plenty of food, water, nicely built cat runs, veterinary care, etc.--they'd be very well taken care of. Of course, this is all just a dream.
In reality, I am an asthmatic AND deathly allergic to them. I haven't had cats in my life in years. So we have a little panda-bear hamster. (I'd love to have a guinea pig but they bother my allergies too) He's very sweet and lovable.
ChrisVance, my sister had a dog for a while, and her cat went through the same thing. She was a wreck and the dog had to go to another home.
hey,.
i'm new to this board.
i'ts nice to be able to jump into an ongoing discussion among like-minded people.
H to the izO V to the IzA. I am telling you JZ must have been a hova.
LOL, you are so right there. Every five minutes on a song, "'HOV-AAAH!!!" this and "HOVE" that.
I've read articles where rapper Eve reminisces about going out in field service, and I think rapper DMX used to be one, too. (which would probably explain why he had a mini-breakdown on stage once) j/k
Had no IDEA that Mr. Murda, Inc. was once a Dub, though...now that is funny.

1st feeling: Gotta reload!
2nd feeling: Gotta hurry up before the cops come!
Ooops! Sorry, I misunderstood the topic...you meant DRIVING BY the KH, not DOING A DRIVE-BY on the KH...

JUST JOKING! JUST JOKING, FOLKS---actually, I feel nothing. I may crack some jokes with my hubby or my DF sister if she's with me. Sometimes my sister and I promise that we'll show up at a Sunday meeting just to be nosy. That's all. Really.

i saw a silentlambs sticker on the atm at my bank.
both the silentlambs and freeminds website were listed on it.
someone peeled off the other (probably a disgruntled jw).

Someone peeled off the other (probably a disgruntled JW). I pencilled in my support on the sticker. (hope you don't mind; I just had to show my support)
