  do the people who lead this religion and who write all the stuff really believe what they write and teach???

  it would be remarkable if a bunch of such braindead people would be able to run such a organization (would me almost make to believe that god has indeed a hand in this :)

  they (how many guys are in charge? ) travel and life in 5* hotels? when and why?

  do they write (or edit) the texts or is there a low level stuff (exceptionally gifted writes i might add!) who comes up with the watchtower and awake stories ?

  thanks for all the info!

  they seem to change their teachings so frequently that its hard to keep up. it amazes me that there are still people who follow all these changes without getting any doubts about the idea that the headquater guys are actually inspired by Jehovi.

  the 125 years (its actually 120) is from genesis 6:3. but i think i have misunderstood that since noah and several other guys got 800 or 900 years old.

  about the clones,

  a clone would be a completely normal human being... essentially your own twin (just younger than you are).
  there wouldn't be the need for a new civils right movement since no one would produce cheap workes this way (way too expensive since you have already millions of cheap workers).

  hello carmel,

  as a geneticist am familiar with these laboratory techniques.

  its similar with humans...black and white people are almost completetly identical in their genetic makeup ... and variations within an ethnic group are considerable. however there are some specific allels of genes for a given ethnic group.
  apparently the gel analysis of the fish DNA (are you sure it was protein gels? that would be very unusual) showed no such specific allels for any of the two groups of fish.
  besides that...its hard to get the agencies to protect a species, so i would imagine it almost impossible to convince them to protect a given race of a species.

  about the sample size for a population...it depends on how large the total population is estimated to be. there are several statistical calculations one can do to achieve a probablility of lets say 99% for including all allels of one gene. this is however just a probablility ...if you are not lucky you might miss that 1 %.
