  Happiness and Freedom On A Paradise Earth?

  at a recent meeting there was a watchtower article about life in paradise.

  they were saying that even when witnesses finally get there they will still be under the strict instructions from the elders and gb.

  they may be given jobs that they will find unpleasant, also the preaching work will be ongoing because of all the resurrected people who need to learn about why they are given another chance.

  Pale.emperor it took me about 2 years after leaving to stop feeling guilty about refuting their stupid rules and habits. And that was AFTER doing full research on their history and doctrine. The percentage of "witness" still in me faded slowly, it will for you too.

  I'm so sorry. ...hopefully she will think more on it, and what you said about beliefs and shunning, and miss her son and grandkids, and let herself ease up. That probably won't happen but it might. Sometimes when someone close starts doubting, that lets us doubt more easily too.

  I hope your husband can deal with this ok. Not fun, or natural, to lose your mom.

  Strangest thing to me that a symbol of life because life is so sacred could be more sacred than life itself. It's idolatry, isn't it!?!

  Yes I recall others talking about that rule but they know more details than I do, so I will let them answer.

  Incredible cover of book published in 1932

  ok, i am reading through the book the watchtower and the masons by fritz spring meier which i am finding a fascinating read; and discovered that judge rutherford published the book 'cause of death'.

  what is incredible is the book cover.

  the book was published in 1932 which would have been a little bit more eye catching back then.

  The painting of Eve is so very odd. Her head looks like a 6 year old's. She has NO neck. Her upper body looks 11. Her lower body looks 35. Had the person who painted this NEVER seen a naked woman before??......I guess that's very possible actually......:)

  I think the people in the video are for real. The actor is the guy who is moderating. My God how did he not break out in laughter?!? Or even gasp occasionally?? Impressive.

  It does make me wonder if these Ohioans have been drinking Flint Michigan water. I mean how do you even get that stupid. Somebody, anybody, show me footage of people in another country being that stupid. Because I've never seen anyone but Americans be that stupid and its freaking embarrassing.

  Signs That Armageddon is "Any Day Now"

  my "anointed" roommate told me a good one today.

  as we were discussing psychotropic medications, she brought up a friend of hers who was recently forced off of "benzodiazepine" (there is no one drug by this name; rather, it is a specific classification of drug).

  she claimed that many people are being forced off of the medication(s) due to "concerns over side effects," and that her friend is suffering from withdrawal on top of whatever symptoms the drug was previously helping to control (she didn't elaborate and i didn't feel comfortable asking, sorry).. my roommate then went on record to say (i'm paraphrasing here) "this is why armageddon has to happen very soon, because satan is using this system to make all these people suffer psychologically to drive them into the streets and go crazy.

  Searcher, that's funny, I heard the 'China rising as a world power, end has gotta be imminent!' argument 12 years ago :).

  Heaven, I was at a witness 'gathering' in 2008 during the time when people were losing their houses to foreclosures, committing suicide, losing their jobs, and a young man said 'wow, isn't this EXCITING!!! The end is upon us!!'

  I believe that both coexist.

  I am very interested in how life started. I was just reading an article about the possibility of life on other planets, and how they once thought conditions had to be near perfect for life...but after discovering life in very hot or cold conditions on earth, they are changing their theories on where exactly life could exist in the universe, the possibilities have broadened. But still, how does life start? There is still so, so much to learn about life and evolution. We have learned just recently that there were many different early human families, unrelated. It's not a direct line like they once thought.
