Journeyman- yes I agree it's a little too late to the game. I see in these other churches they try to create a social scene, or an environment, for it youth. Watchtower had said not our responsibility, but step out of line and we'll shun you got it.

The Borg are desperate that’s why they Keep on lowering age for things. You can be an elder at 20 and a CO at 23 for heaven’s sake.

they need to do something more than this to stop the bleeding of young people.

it’s hilarious thinking about elders meetings where the body spends 45 mins talking about something so trivial. When the stuff the young people are really getting upto is totally unknown to the elders.

this is really shown so well in the TV show everyone else burns. One teenage girl talks about all the normal teenage stuff the young ones get upto, kissing feeling each other up and far more in some cases.

the elders have absolutely no idea what goes on.

The part that got me was after his latest trip, he claimed a type of god-like power in “creating” his two girls and has certain responsibilities that he clearly feels are a burden to him. He then goes on to suggest he doesn’t need to be involved in every aspect of their lives. When considered alongside his stated belief that he feels stranded in Croatia, it is clear he’s searching for a way out and playing the role of an absent parent.

I was going to say what a selfish parent he was but deleted it. Actually Lloyd, the best thing you can do right now is get out of those girl’s lives. They don’t need you and judging by your last video, you are actually harming them. Take your fortune cookie wisdom and fuck off for good, you hapless sack of shit.

Yes that was my thoughts as well.

He thought he would find another relationship so that his ex would feel I wish I could have him back 😭 but it’s exactly the opposite situation.

he is obviously salty having to pay child support for another man to use these funds to take Lloyds kids out for ice cream ect….

if he did move back to the uk and not continue to pay child support then all his experience with glacial slow court system over there in Croatia- he may stop paying and think he can get away with it.

if all he can get for work is unskilled labour min wage jobs then so be it. Clean toilets Lloyd, whatever you can get to keep paying that guy to be daddy to your two girls.

the good thing about this entire situation is that whoever this guy is it’s not hard for him to be better that Lloyd. Even if he is a bit useless and has some big faults she would still think he is so much better compared to her ex who was sexting underage girls and then cheating on her with sex workers and using the family car for it.

thry will be thinking it’s too late now.

i gave several decades of my life to knocking on doors for free , trusting the GB when they kept telling me to sacrifice better education or better careers. I just worked cleaning jobs and I’m broke old and tired and now I realise I must have missed the direction to save money for retirement. How on earth did I miss that?

I feel so sorry for those JWs already in later part of their life who pioneered and worked part time. Now they are really getting tired and find it hard to go to work their low paid horrible jobs, but they are struggling to pay rent on their cheap horrible housing. They are so worried about if they are unwell or too tired and worn out to go to work then how will they pay their rent?

The meeting this week was all about about money.

the main point was so obvious saying we should save money. There was video saying exactly this save money.

then there was a picture showing gold and silver and the Bible and it kept reply they are both for a protection and we need both of them

has there ever been a time with this much pushing the idea to save money for the future?

this feels new to me to start saving money

it’s obviously gas lighting as if they have always said to save money for the future. No they haven’t after all why would we need to save if the end is so near?

the one guy wishes he didn’t take the red pill and would have preferred to take the blue pill.. many used to be pimi which is the blue pill and then they wake up to the fact that the gb are not who they claim to be which is taking the red pill.. they go through conflict and confusion as to what to believe now?

What I have noticed occurring more and more these days, is how polarized people are here. But even worse, is the open ridicule of others comments. I don't like it ... and as I've said it before, it discourages newer members from commenting and only goes to reinforce the Watchtower narrative, that apostates are all about hate speech.
However if we talk about the PURPLE PILL concept, I know that many are taking it. Call them PIMOs or PIMAs or whatever, there are a lot of people who for one reason or another are choosing to stay a Witness and attend the meetings. And clearly its their choice.
For me personally, I do believe that the basic teaching of JW movement are right, however the Governing Body has proven themselves to be no more than just men. No more smarter that me ... nor are they any more spiritual (maybe a bit less actually). Yet am I a hypocrite for still going to the meetings? I don't think so, no more that any other person who attends, any other church.
But yet I think that I am happier in knowing thetruth about the truth, because I'm aware of ALL the facts and I can accept the responsibility in knowing them.
So am I taking the PURPLE PILL personally, I don't know. But like the stages of grief ... I think I'm in the acceptance phase of it and I'm no longer surprised or disappointed by the Society's managers.

This is such a helpful post thank you.

i hope others on these forums can be more understanding and then we would get more new ones feeling welcome even if they choose the purple pill.

my view now is very peaceful. I’m agnostic but have this warm hope that maybe there is a GOd and something better awaits after death.

for now Im staying physically in and enjoy studying the Bible each week but with clear thinking abilities

As I recall the guy who regrets taking the red pill had no qualms about killing his friends to get back into the illusion of the Matrix.

This is an interesting contradiction here. So taking the red pill is bad? Is that what you are saying?

Is it best to take the red pill if you would definitely be more happy not taking it? What if the blue pill not knowing the truth would stop you being unhappy?

Is there a third option? Yes you can take both pills and tell yourself we don’t know the entire whole truth. Whatever you want to choose to believe may be true or may not be. You have to reach contentment not knowing.

purple pill means you can think for yourself and choose to believe whatever you want including blue or red pills.

So no, to answer your question. All purple pill JW don’t shun anyone but that’s sort of ended now anyway even for blue pill JWs.

Acceptance to choose an illusion? Surely you’ve seen the Truman Show? There is no integrity, authenticity, deep care for any human, when living in an illusion. Is that really what you prefer, a masquerade? (Isa 30:10; 2 Cor 11:13-15)

Going back to Atheism may be a masquerade. Believing in God may be a masquerade.

Either choice could be an illusion how can you be so sure?

this is why I choose the purple pill. I take both the red pill and the blue pill.

i take the red pill because i know the GB are not correct. But I take the blue pill because Im agnostic as to if there was intelligent design involved in the universe.

The main problem here is these new GB members have inherited some really bad policies. They will find it hard to U turn on too much too fast. If they change too fast it casts a shadow on 1919 God chose the GB of the JWs as his one chosen true religion
