You are wrong, after 20 years and you leave you get a swift kick in the butt and a shunning from your family.
Every Organization has rules but on the other hand you can question other orgs and get answers, you question the WTBTS you get marked or called an apostate.

I emailed Ray at [email protected] one vote short was with regard to alt military service- if I remember correctly it was decided originally that it would be ok, then one member changed his vote back to "no"...thus keeping the policy intact.
if I remember correctly well if that doesn't sound like Watchtower literature: it could be, possible, could it really be, I think Mr. Franz is a little old. Either way! They put innocent people's lives at risk not by praying and heavenly guidance, but voting. 2/3 vote at that!. Millions of brothers and sisters had been recipients of interdictions set forth by the Organization only to have been disfellowshipped later because of new tacking strategy. I still believe Mr. Franz should have blew the whistle the moment he saw the GB was the same as the Wizard of the Wizard of Oz big blow hards that voted and not prayed. Those are the beliefs of the individual, if he wants to lay down his life for what he
believes in so be it.
This deals with choices, in the WTBTS there isn't any choice if you believe the teachings.
Very few knew that every subject was brought up for a vote by the GB until Ray Franz wrote COC. I believed that the organization was the channel of God.
My son died of Leukemia when he was 18, he also believed the Org. was God's org.
Nothing was questioned, but once I read COC and found out that blood transfusions missed being an approved medical treatment by one f------ vote because the swing vote did not show up for that meeting...yes I believe the org. is murder incorporated, and to top it off my wife died too because of ...oh well what the hell.

Do you have a stay away order, and restraining order--if not AWARE which is a Domestic Violence Organization in California will help you fill the orders out and even accompany you to court. They will even pay your fees.
You need to keep documentations about every call you receive from him and dateds times and conversations--if you have not done so start and get a catalouge set up for futher calls to 911 if you have to post everything no matter how minute.
It will impress the judge as well as any police that answeres your DV call.

Group conceling is great too as been suggested.
I worked for AWARE and DV is prosecuted haesly in California now as long as the victim does not drop the charges.

i know several dubs who are contractors doing various jobs.. what irritates me is i think half of these contractors stay dubs for the sole reason that they get tons of work.
plus if your an elder or have some other bs title, the 'friends' will actually be happy to pay a little .
extra because they know they are helping (brown nosing) an elder.. that just pisses me off.. how many dubs do you know who stay dubs just to network jobs for themselves?.
