my wife and i are not religious nor do we want to be.

we are very set in our spiritual beliefs.

we have worked with a jw who's family have been like a part of our family for 6 years.

Dano3456 you have known these people for 6 years and the subject of the kids birthdays , Christmas Thanksgiving etc have never been come up for discussion , have there kids every been to your kids birthdays as JWs never do birthdays as they view them as pagen.

Circuit Overseer to Answer My Questions + Concerns...or Not

hello all, i'm 'researching', a jw who is in the first steps of taking a look at their beliefs.. i've semi-recently (about a couple weeks ago) heard about the sexual abuse cases (pennsylvania attorney general’s investigation request) and then the arc in 2015. this lead to a deep investigation, which lead to many questions arising.

a jw friend of mine suggested i be careful (due to apostates) and ask the brothers.

so i typed up my questions + concerns and emailed an elder my mother has known for a long time.

If arc is apostate lies why would a member of the governing body Geoffrey Jackson give evidence ,surely he would take the lead and avoid this so called apostate investigation ?

Unless he's a secret apostate.

News Reports are "Apostate Lies"

with the most recent investigative news report show entitled "the witnesses" i noticed a number of posters whose family members are pimi refer to such shows as "apostate lies.

" even the governing body (possibly loesch) made such a statement (possibly on jw broadcasting).

i was thinking of how to reply to such a statement.. first, ask "who is the apostate?

I approached a bro on the carts and asked him about the child abuse thing he said you've been looking at apostate sites I said no it was on BBC news still would not accept it ,bet if I mentioned about the treatment of JWs in Russia on the BBC news he would have been happy to talk about that.

Not only a fear of Armageddon but the pictures of a paradise earth with snow capped mountains and lakes surrounded by animals and plenty of food and our loved ones and a resurrected loved one walking towards you , and the opportunity of talking to your favourite Bible character .

The fear of displeasing god and not being able to enjoy these things when the faithful would as a child and a youth put a lot of fear in me.

Now fear dying but not death ,as others have said would not want a slow painful death , but to enjoy the time I have left .

Since I started my fade I meet with two elders regarding a family issue they did not understand and refused to look on the internet on approved sites to be able to understand the issue,

Often thought how many witnesses who believed and had mental health issues were disfellowshiped for a weakness because elders did not understand or would not try to understand and so contributed to the illness.

The authorities seem to be aware of how the JWs handle and try and hide child abuse and failure to report to the police etc.
