When Was The Last Time You Bought or Sold A Piece Of Jewelry Or A Diamond item?
by minimus inwith all the high gas prices and job layoffs, i'm curious as to when the last was that you bought fine jewelry.
also, when was the last time you sold old gold?
-

Since I was a good JW I never went to college, so my income doesn't allow me even to consider fine jewelry.

My Son ask me about JWN
by Think About It ini'm visiting my son and we got on the topic of me raising him in the jw's.
i apologized and told him at the time i thought it was the right thing to do, but that i got them out before it was too late.
he assured me it was only a matter of time before he would have left the religion.

If he'd read a couple of posts he'd have known it was an apostate site.

Not sure if any comments made on Oct awake
by bobld inpage 19 disturbing news reports and your children.. what is the governing boby's point?that children under 13 should not watch news because of the violence?.
how about some disturbing news reports from the bible.
ishbosheth gets his head cutoff.. david kills 200 men and cut thier foreskins off (6 years old asks what are foreshins?).

"The lesson? Make sure that you and
your children maintain a balanced perspective
of the news. The fact is, many
calamities are viewed as newsworthy
because they are relatively rareānot because
they are common."
As bobld pointed out, the bible is full of violence against children. How many times did the Israelites wipe out an entire city? What about the scriptures about starving parents boiling their children? Sheesh!
Oh, but wait, I'm wrong. Jehovah is a god of love.

She said she read the text a few days ago and the topic was about those ppl who have left the truth and their probably ashamed of themselves and regret their decisions and all they need to do is talk to the elders.

My brother and sister-in-law were Bethelites and worked there a couple of times - Long is their name. They're still in the Borg.
I visited a couple of times. Beautiful, but a lot of money spent on fol-de-rol, IMHO.

One Random Dude's Conclusion about the WTBTS based on an Awake he Got
by AuntBee inwe just chat occasionally through my blog.
i've tried several times to tell him stuff about the wt, but he's in that know-it-all stage, and prefers talking to listening.
oh well... here's his take on it, after receiving an awake.
-
cobaltcupcake
Please. Back in the 70s they had an article in Awake entitled, "Are You Plagued With Loose Bowels?" and another, "The Mighty Carrot."
Yeah, that ought to have 'em flocking to the KH!

Quendi: I have to wonder how many other disfellowshipped individuals are torn between their desire to fellowship again with friends and family and their desire to hold on to the freedoms they now enjoy.
No contest.
