Your Take On 30 Hour Pioneering
by jw07 inthe gb has magically reduced the hours sufficient for being an auxillary pioneer for march and april to 30.. this is my take:.

The titles meant something back in the days when we paid a certain amount for the literature. Pioneers and Temporary Pioneers got a discount rate so that they could make a little money off their placements. Pennies meant something back when gas was less than 50 cents a gallon.
Nowadays, the only real benefit to having the title of "Pioneer" is going to Pioneer School and the extra days of everlasting life you accrue for each year of pioneering.

Welcome, Sparlock!
I'm happy for you that you woke up at a young age! I was JW for 30 years and finally got disgusted over the rampant pedophilia and left 9 years ago.
You might enjoy reading my humorous blog about life as a JW:

Confrontation of Needed Worldwide Church of God apologies
by Gayle inhttp://hwarmstrong.com/apology-worldwide-church-of-god.htm.
now their church is so splintered it is hardly recognizable anymore anywhere.. most of these are amazingly similar to those necessary by the wts, of which they also will never apologize for either.. interesting, how a very strong 'end-times' religion can go down eventually.. .

jw's view of wordly people - hipocrisy
by spirituk ini was wondering how a baptised jw see wordly people?
i mean what do they think of people who arent jw ?
do they think we will die forever and that we are controlled by satan?

JWs are constantly warned of the danger of associating with worldly people. They use the scripture, "bad association spoils useful habits."
They must have some association with them during work or school hours, but they avoid unnecessary association with them after hours.
They view worldly people as essentially "unclean" and as a threat to their spirituality and relationship with God. However, they also view them as possible converts to whom they are obligated to preach so that they have an opportunity to learn "the truth."
Since they are not worshipping Jehovah they are serving the interests of the Devil, but they aren't necessarily Devil worshippers.

Since I've moved to the Bible Belt I've discovered that Christendom has the Dubs beat when it comes to acts of charity and kindness. All of the larger local churches in Charlotte send out teams on "missions" every year to some disadvantaged neighborhood to do exactly the same work that the JW's do after a disaster. They run food pantries and soup kitchens. They have projects going all the time to help individual families (not necessarily members of their church) who are in need.
I only found this out because one of my coworkers belongs to one of these churches, and she mentioned that her husband and teenaged daughter were going to be gone for a week on one of these mission trips, and they go every year.
The test of loving your neighbor as yourself is not running to someone's aid after a huge disaster but in day-to-day kindness and charity.

Do you think those at the top realise that it's their fault - suicide as a result of being disfellowshipped?
by jambon1 ini have been stunned to hear of two suicides in our area recently.. this adds to the other 3 that i have known of from the past.. the two recent suicides resulted from 1-the person being gay & hearing a horrific talk at the kingdom hall & 2-the person with problems who was disfelloshipped & then took his life the next week.. it astonished me that jw's in general don't rebel against this sort of thing.
it's an appalling lack of support which leads people to feel distressed, abandoned & unloved.
how the witnesses in the locality can just sail on without giving the cruelty of these measures serious though is beyond me.

They take the comfortable position of blaming the victim.
