today i was watching nicledeon with the kids.
and right before my eyes, on my own tv screen i found the original caleb & sparlock!.
it's called mike the knight, with his little sparlock sister!
Here's a link to the Nickelodeon site where you can watch "Mike the Knight" episodes.

It's a similar format - with a moral to the story, and the kid's voice is similar. The sister's costume has got to be the inspiration for Sparlock's look. It's too similar.

so we had spent years building our "theocratic library" of bound volumes, books and other materials.
personally, i boxed everything, taped the boxes closed and threw them in a dumpster at a construction site.. i did actually feel bad though.
that was a lot of paper which could have been recycled!.
Very easy. I left them with my ex-husband when I left him and the Borg in one fell swoop. Of course, in a misguided attempt to get me to reconsider leaving the organization, he sent me my Pioneer School book. I threw that in the trash.

If we rush into it before having a chance to heal from the JW mind control and emotional abuse, our need for acceptance and unconditional love can interfere with our good judgement.
Amen to that. I was on POF for awhile and got scammed by one guy to the tune of $400. Boy, did I feel stupid. I was just plain naive.
I've been on a bunch of different dating sites and have met my share of creeps, some who masturbated to the sound of my voice while I was on the phone with them. I'm 53 and pretty much in despair of meeting anyone "normal."

jehovah's witnesses on ya: does prince wear make-up?.
if he does, what does jah say about that?
does the bible make it implicit or explicit in regards to men wearing make-up?
Is it Christian for governing body members to wear multiple rings? I swear, every picture I see, they have either a ring on each hand or two rings on one hand. . .WTF?
What did Paul say about "the showy display of one's means of life?" Oh wait, they've taken a vow of poverty.
How many people can kiss the rings on your hand at one time?

did jesus condone such hearings?.
Now that's a funny concept! If he had, Peter would've been the first one kicked out.

'paying careful attention to any direction that we receive through jehovah's organization(gb) and applying it at once.. many who have rid themselves of needless debt can testify that applying wise counsel(of the gb) to simplify their life.
has benefited them during the recent economic crises".
3300 unskilled Bethelites flooding the labor market? No wonder we have an economic crisis in the U.S!

what are your favorite urban legends that you heard as a jw?.
here's mine:.
a brother, through his work, was asked to give a speech to the united nations.
Supposedly someone in the band wrote "Crystal Blue Persuasion" after reading the "Truth" book, which had a blue cover. The lyrics do seem to parallel basic JW teachings.
Well, there's the well-known walking-Smurf-doll story.
I heard so many "demonized items" stories that I was terrified. My ex-husband's family practically made a religion out of that concept.
Supposedly, our congregation was located in some sort of demon "hot zone," like it was the place where the demons held conventions. The cong. had so many demon problems that they had to call in some heavy hitters from Brooklyn to deal with it. The congregation was Waterville, Maine in case anyone else has heard about this.
The in-laws believed that if you suspected an item was harboring a demon you would test it by taking it outside of the roofline of your home, waiting to see if the suspected demon activity stopped, and if so you could return the item to the home and try something else. They had an old van on the property that at one point was chock-a-block full of suspected items.
