by WTWizard inwe all know of those kingdumb hells that don't have windows.
and i never saw an a$$embly hell that had windows that would let light in that would reach the auditorium.
so, what do they do if the lights go out during the middle of a boasting session?.

Should i tell him what is really going on with me? I care about him so much.
by make yourself infor some reason the doubts came lurking back again.
i know this religion is messed up because a person should not be having creeping doubts surface up like this.
i have not posted or logged on to this site in a very long time.

You said the guy is considered to be "a worldly." Does that mean he's not associated with JWs or that he's considered weak?
If he's "weak" he may agree with your viewpoint and leave with you. If he's working toward baptism and he has feelings for you, being honest with him is the best course. It'll come out sooner or later.

Well, that was weird.
I always took my sunglasses off when I got to the door so that the householder could see my eyes.

JWs don't expect to meet someone who knows anything about their organization or its history. Or the Bible, for that matter.
You shocked them to the soles of their shoes.

Finding out about the child sexual abuse in the organization and that nothing could be done about it judicially because of the 2-witness rule.
The 1995 generation "new light." Made me think the GB were grasping at straws.
The lack of love in the congregation and lack of spirituality among the body of elders.
The constant "hurray for us" harangue in the WT.

Have the GB wised up to the dangers of e readers yet?
by londonlady injust trying out the new kindle myself and i realised that with its password protected facility, it would be possible to download all manner of forbidden books and magazines without the elders or jw parents knowing.. .
i'm surprised there hasn't been dire warnings issued about this yet?
or have the gb yet to hear about e readers?.

The Internet has definitely allowed us "mentally diseased" apostates to connect with each other and compare notes. I don't think the GB fully understands the danger of collaboration by thousands of ex-JWs worldwide.
It's kind of like using spy drones and satellite technology against a Medieval fortress.

Of course he did face a "judicial committee" at the Sanhedrin, and they DF'd him big time.

Not Sure What I Believe In Anymore
by nuthouse escapee ininside my head is a tangled ball of wool when it comes to what i believe.
i have days where i believe in a creator and other days when i don't.
then there are times when i refer to this as believing in 'something' but what exactly this something is, i have no idea.

They really are dimwits.
My ex-husband arranged for me a surprise shepherding visit from an elder and the CO when I was dealing with the issue of childhood sexual abuse by my father. I spilled my guts to them, and all they did was read the predictable scriptures. The elder kept shaking his head and saying, "I would never do that to my daughters."
When they left, I told my husband (between gritted teeth) "Don't you ever do that to me again." Talk about cisterns without water!
I felt like I'd stripped naked in front of those two idiots and then had platitudes handed to me. I think that was one of those straws on the camel's back, although not the last one.
