There is a similar “peak” in Turkey. There is a very striking decline of -11 percent. According to what I learned from my contacts living there, the reason for this is that foreign JWs have left the country to a great extent. They returned to their places of origin due to the inability to renew their residence permits and the increasing inflation in the country. Their presence inflated the figures for many years, but once they left, it became clear that there was no progress.

The Curious Case of Cameroon in Africa in the World Report
by LaFrancia inwe know that in africa warwick/watchtower is adopting a policy of more congregations with fewer publishers in each congregation.
this explains the growth of congregations in the 2024 world report.. cameroon world report 2019 vs. 2024.. with the same number of publishers the congregations grew by about 13%.. will there be many more curious cases out there?.

Why so many cult leaders have weird relationship issues and dysfunctional marriages?
by buzkid inwhy do so many cult leaders have weird relationship issues and dysfunctional marriages?russell coudn't get along with his wife mariah.
rutherford had trouble with his wife and sent her away.. eric wilson says it's o.k.
if you don't get legally married as long as you have a "spiritual marriage" in his latest video response to the situation of people coming forward complaining about the abusive religious tactics his "wife" practices and he condones.. i ask this question in a previous post but it deserves it's own discussion definitely:why is it that so many cult leaders have weird relationship issues and dysfunctional marriages?.

You were the chosen one!
It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them.
Bring balance to the force, not leave it in darkness!
You were my brother, Anakin.
I loved you.
--Obi Wan Kenobi, Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the SithBecoming What You Hate
Through being so concentrated on what we despise, and trying our best to avoid becoming said thing, we inevitably become it. We lose ourselves in this spiral of hatred and resentment to such a degree that the same thing we dislike becomes ingrained into our character due to spending so much time dwelling on it.

History repeats itself. All structures built with good intentions will have similar problems, until it becomes an abomination. There is no way to fix it. Should the followers of Jesus be organized, that's the question to ask. Wherever there is a desire for “unity” then there is a leadership, history just repeats again and again.
The situation with Eric's wife seems to be a typical Ellen G. White case. With a character like that, very soon she will become more prominent and will form the foundation for a new religion for the next generation. Tested and worked before, why should it be different now...
Believers should not be gathered under one roof. They should stay wherever they live and do good, be good neighbors, shine as lights, and fulfill their mission of being the salt of the earth.

Here is part of Origen's Epistle to Gregory and his Commentary on the Gospel of John:
https://ccel.org/ccel/origen/epistle_john/anf09.xv.iii.ii.vi.html
In this text, Origen explores the theological implications of John 1:3, "All things were made through Him," reflecting on the relationship between the Father, the Son (Logos), and the Holy Spirit. He discusses the hierarchical nature of the Trinity, suggesting that while the Father is uncreated and the source of all, the Logos acts as the intermediary through whom creation occurs. Origen debates whether the Holy Spirit, as part of "all things," was also made through the Logos or is uncreated. He proposes that the Holy Spirit, while distinct, is created by the Father through the Son and holds a unique role in sanctifying believers. Origen also addresses the Spirit's relationship to Christ and examines scriptural passages suggesting a nuanced, functional hierarchy within the Trinity.
Additional reading: Here, Origen critiques Heracleon's interpretation of John 1:3, "All things were made through Him.", who claims that "all things" exclude the highest spiritual realms and that these existed before the Logos. In this context, Jehovah's Witnesses and Heracleon share a similar subordinationist view of the Logos, where Christ is not equal to the supreme God.

Elders (and upper levels) should only see details of those who have jwpub accounts, right?
I wouldn't be surprised if one day they ask all publishers to open an account to track them more easily.

Do JWs believe Jesus is an angel?
by slimboyfat ini would suggest:.
the short answer is yes.. the longer answer is a qualified yes, with some caveats.
the short answer is yes because jehovah’s witnesses teach that jesus is michael the archangel, their leader, eldest and most powerful, and have taught this since the very beginning of the religion.

William Guy Carr talks in his book about how Gnostics inside Freemasonry believe that the Angel Michael came to Earth as Jesus Christ to defeat Satan as how he had done in Heaven but he failed. The fact that the High Priests of the Luciferian Creed on this earth introduced the worship of Satan in the lower degrees of both Grand Orient Lodges and the councils of the Palladian Rite and then initiated selected individuals to the FULL SECRET that Lucifer is God the equal of Adonay, has puzzled many historians and research workers. The Holy Scriptures mention Lucifer only a few times — Isa. 14; Luke 10:18; Rev. 9:1-11. The Luciferian Doctrine however states definitely that Lucifer led the Heavenly revolt; that Satan is the oldest son of God (Adonay) and the brother of St. Michael who defeated the Luciferian conspiracy in Heaven. The Luciferian teachings also claim that St. Michael came on earth in the person of Jesus Christ to try to repeat what he had done in Heaven ... and failed. Because Lucifer, Satan, the Devil — call him what you may — is the father of lies, it would appear that those spiritual forces of darkness deceive as many as possible so-called intellectuals into doing their will here as they did in heaven.

If we connect the dots, it is clear where Russell and the Adventists get their teaching from.

How many JW in the 1920's
by xaminewt ini'm trying to find out how many jw there were globally in 1924, 1925, 1926, 1927 and 1928. the watchtower of 1926 says that there were 25,000 in attendance at the magdeburg convention for the public address, but the same watchtower say that one the last day of the convention there were 15,000 present, so i assume at least 10,000 were interested persons - non jw.
the watchtower 1955 says: "for this year of 1927 the number in attendance at the spring memorial internationally was 88,544, yet of these only some 18,602 were active as house-to-house kingdom announcers".
these statistics would seem to imply that the majority of jw in 1926 were at the magdeburg convention.

I highly recommend you to read the book 30 Years A Watctower Slave written by William J. Schnell. He lived in Germany in those years (1920-30s) and worked in important positions for the Organisation. He explains in detail how the pilot application initiated in Germany was adapted to the USA and from there to the whole world.
