  excellent observation from zizek about communist regimes: they didn’t care if people accepted the ideology or took it seriously, so long as people acted as if the ideology was true, that was the important thing.

  in fact the regimes were deeply suspicious people who took the ideology too seriously.

  people who took the ideology seriously were dangerous because they were prone to noticing the inconsistencies and flaws in the system.

  If the GB know that the religion can’t undergo scrutiny and survive, that means they must have a sense of the wrongness of the religion.

  That means they don’t take it seriously on the apologist end of the spectrum. They aren’t true believers. If they were, then they would never suspect that there were any flaws at all and therefore would never think to warn anyone away from deep study.

  The current GB are just 100% liars and hypocrites. They are worse than believing apologists and apostates.

  Hotels Deny Watchtower Discount Rates For 2020 Regional Conventions

  the wtbts is not being given special room rates by 2 major hotels at the long beach convention center area for the upcoming 2020 regional conventions & wt is t'd off.

  letters are being read in surrounding circuits and congregations.

  apparently wt is afraid that other hotels are going to blackball them as well.. has anyone else heard this?

  Imagine being a Dub, missing work to pay your own way to the Con-vention, and then paying even more to stay in a Hotel. And THEN.... you’re asked to cough up more donations...
