Public Apology Nathan Natas
by Simon ini'd like to offer a public apology to nathan natas for making a wrong decision when i deleted him.. i allowed a combination of previous issues we'd had and input from other forum members to bias my decision which lead me to what i now, in hindsight, believe to have been a mistake.. whether you want to come back and post here or not i wanted to at least say sorry and will reactivate your account..

Honest Reponse needed
by His Excellency inattraction isn't the glue that holds couples together, and there have even been scientific polls and studies taken on this.
that initial attraction *typically* doesn't last more than a few months.
though attraction keeps you interested long enough to get to know someone and build a relationship with him/her.. but my question is this, how long does the attraction lasts in new couples, before they get bored with each-other?..

jgnat: Awww...that is soo sweet. No relationship is perfect but when you can find someone you click with and WANT to stay with, I think it's pretty awesome!

To me attraction is like a foundation. You are attracted to someone…but as you get to know them, either the attraction grows and stays or it fizzles out. If it grows I think it morphs into love and it lasts if the love is based on such things like respect, dignity and admiration.
I’ve been attracted to the same man for 25 years. It’s lasted through distance, time, his relationships and my marriage to someone else. It’s one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced!
If I saw him RIGHT NOW I would get butterflies and start acting like a goofy kid!!! -

Under the New Light, Where is the Continuity?
by Ding inunder the old light, from 33 ce onward, there was always an anointed remnant on earth, and these constituted the faithful and discreet slave class whom jesus had appointed over his domestics to give them spiritual meat in due season.. but the new light is that the "anointed" were not the faithful and discreet slave after all.. in fact, according to the new light, jesus did not appoint anyone as faithful and discreet slave over his domestics until 1919 (not even the apostles or russell).. so according to the new light, who or what was jehovah's visible organization from the death of the apostles until 1919?.
who was authorized to provide spiritual food in due season?.
where is the continuity?.

I understand so much more about what I used to believe now that I am out, but this “new light” is making me a feel a bit nutty…one question leads to another and another….
So I can only imagine how all my friends and family are going to totally GLOSS it over because it won’t make any sense to them. They won’t think any farther than that WT study that day.

The July 15 Watchtower and all its new light is only...
by sosoconfused inmaking people cling to the organization more.
when i found out it was up i told so many people frantically that there is a new study article up and that it had so many changes.
my mother started crying saying how happy she is to be a part of an organization that is truly directed by jehovah... only the true faithful and discreeet slave could have such insight.... another person began to say how great it is to see the celestial chariot on the move.. .

Let’s see if that thought ruminates.
I have a friend whom I love dearly, he is the WT conductor and I am STRUGGLING with reaching out and asking him if he’s read it and understands it. He is smart, well loved by the congregation and I always felt like he is AWARE/AWAKE but can't leave because of family.

Questions Regarding the New Light on the FDS
by Ding init's my understanding that the old light regarding the faithful and discreet slave was that in 1918-1919 jesus appointed the faithful and discreet slave over all his house.. but under the new light, it's a two-stage process.. now the "truth" is that in 1919 jesus appointed the governing body to provide spiritual food in due season and the gb will only be placed in authority over his domestics during the great tribulation.. all of this is wt nonsense, but in order to get jws who believe this stuff to think about the implications, my questions are:.
1. what will the future appointment authorize the governing body to do that is not yet authorized?.
2. since under the old light the governing body has wrongly believed they have had this authority since 1919, doesn't this mean they have been wrongly exercising authority that jesus hasn't yet given them?.

I know this may sound immature but I am such a prankster. This new light is prime for a “WHO’S ON FIRST” conversation with JWs. LOL!!!
Just for kicks, I’d love to sit down with my family over a few bears and twist them up with old light vs new light. I have a vision at the end of the conversation they are looking at each other jaws dropped: THIS %$^&)!! Don’t make sense!!!!

The last talk of the DC in 2011 talked about the image in Daniel’s dream…and the 10 toes mixture of clay and iron (Anglo-America mash up)…and I kid you not they said “ the toes do not matter.” in regards to where we are in time concerning the image….at least that’s what my exhausted brain absorbed.Three days at the DC and that was the only thing I went home with. TOES DON’T MATTER! Gee… how profound!

I think this will be the first copy of the WT I am going to ask a relative for. I gotta read this while holding it. I will probably need to drink copius amounts of alcohol afterwards. I may even go to the meeting just to see how they spin this. I mean I could fake it and say that I read the article months before and I was convinced that I need to come and see this new information explained...I could sit there with a look of consternation and turn to the person next to me and say I am so confused in a loud voice...
but I digress (SIGH...)I kinda browsed thru it online and I just LOVED the visuals that were inserted into the articles. If the words messed you up then the pictures and graphs should make it "clear". Uh-huh!
I sent a message to a few JW friends just to let them know that the issue was out and that it is contained "new light", that they would find interesting. Then I said I am sure they will be able to understand the new information and share it with new ones. Right. Um...hmmm! -

Death always makes me think about life and what I want for the rest of my time on this earth. I try not to live in the past, and I sure don’t have complete control of the future, but what I do have NOW. Below is the attitude I have embraced since leave the JWs:
Death is the reason why you should create the fullest, best life. Be present every day.Death is the reason you should say: I love you, I'm sorry, I forgive you, I was wrong, thank you; without hesitation.
Death can come in a minute, hour, day, month, or year.
That is why NOW is important. Don't wait to say or do the most important meaningful things! Do it NOW!
