  Were You Affected By The Cliques In The Congregation????

  every hall has their cliques.

  elders and their family/friends always seem to have certain ones that they were close to.

  i knew of only a few that didn't lament they never seemed to fit into the "clique".

  The only time I was ever included in a cliques was when it was time to clean the Hall, my mother and I were always called on for this , but left out of the get togethers. We just got the cleanups.lol

  last night, on the discovery channel, they interviewed a researcher who analyzed a scrap of papyrus that recorded revelation.. he contended that the critical passage of the "number of the beast" actually read 616 in greek, not 666. he tried to apply.

  this to caligula thru numerology.. i had never heard of this variant reading before.. .

  It was also brought out on the History Channel that the book of Rev. probably does not ever refer to our time, but to the ancient time back then as John was writing this.

  My brother died last night

  my brother turned 21 on september 24th, a month later the doctor told him that his leukimia had returned and he had a 10% chance of surviving.

  ten days before he died he spent four days at my house.

  he had already made up his mind that he wasnt going to take blood.

  on september 8, 1963 my sister, carmen elizabeth was born.. she was, and would remain the only girl in our family.

  she was so adorable, brown haired, brown eyed and had a great smile.

  she was less than a year younger than i, and we were like the 'best of pals' as kids.. she'd allow me to put beans in her ears, or get her to put peas in her nose or carrots on top of her teeth, and make me laugh.. she was born in cape breton, nova scotia.

  I am completely overwhelmed by the caring that has gone on here in my situation. I will tell everyone a little abut my mother and sister. Both were babtized JWs. for over 30 years. came into the truth in the early 70s with the promise of the end soon to come. My sister was my older sister. She died from Colon Cancer. Never sick and never showed any systems, untill she started loosing weight, lots of it. She died the most horrible dead that anyone could ever imagine. She was such a good person and so trusting. I prayed night and day for her, but no answers ever came. When she became ill she came to live by me till she passed. I could go on and on about the JWs treated her, but i dont want to even think of that anymore.My sister was very very intelligent and looked almost like Liz taylor. She had many many talents.

  My mother was a very good person. She was an avid animal lover. of which the JWs always put her down for. She lived with me from 1995 till her death and I took care of her. The day she died she was to come home from the hospital. She died in my arms. I still have nightmares all the time about it. I know she would not want me to be in the shape im in, but I dont know what to do about it. Ive tried. Im loosing my job, my home everything, because I cant function anymore..Thanks for lisening and caring and for being here. Thank You.

  Today is the day my mother was born. She passed away 1 year and 6 days ago. I guess I need some friends. No one here seems to notice or care. My grief has been ovewhelming to where I can barely function this past year. A year before that my sister died. They were both with me. I believed so long in the JWs. I just dont think I can take it any more. I loved my mother so much and not bear to be with out her much longer.

  Witnesses Not Budging on 1914

  just attended the sunday of the zealous kingdom proclaimers district convention in manchester, england and during the final talk we had an update on the world situation as it relates to jehovah's witnesses.

  the speaker was peter ellis, a member of the london bethel branch committee.. he stated that many had been waiting for armageddon for some years and some have become disappointed that it hasn't yet arrived, and that newer jw's did not seem to have the same degree of faith as some of the old-timers in the faith, hence this was of serious concern.

  then he said something along the lines of 1914 being set in stone and that the organization was not going to get any new light on this key doctrine, hence we can be sure that armageddon is very near.. interesting don't you think?
